It feels like spring

Today on occasion, I could smell spring in the air -- a whiff of some flower here, a hint of citrus there, etc.  I drove with my windows down and will leave the house windows open tonight.  This is one thing that I do like about SoCal... though I will miss the spring hints that I'm used to from Wisconsin (watching for the first robin, the first crocuses, the Chippewa River flooding, the first warm day when I could take my kayak out, the first weekend when all the trees just POP open!)... hey, do we have lilacs here?  That's what I'm going to be watching for next.  Anyway, it was such a beautiful day here that I took two of my patients outside to work on their walking, curbs, etc because it was just too dang nice to be indoors.

In general, work was OK today, despite having one therapist call in with a sick kid, and thus having to reshuffle 8 hours of patients with little notice.  Somehow, it always gets done... I have no idea how this works out, but it does.  While Husband was at night class (almost done with this quarter, you know...one more week of Tues/Thurs night classes), I went to Target & bought things that I thought I was out of.  After we came home & I went and restocked the empty box of important girlie product which I had just bought more of, I found (magic!) that there was another full box just behind & out of sight the empty one.  So... I guess I didn't have to go to Target after all, but I needed something to do anyway.  And I also bought more Hershey Eggs, which is very important for my Easter candy fix... now I just have to hide them from Husband so he doesn't "lose track" and eat another whole bag out from under my nose.

I somehow am ending my pretty decent day with a neck & headache, so I'm letting some Advil kick in while I catch up on the emails and such.  I can't believe that it's already Wednesday tomorrow... another week flying by.

day to day, riverside, missing wisconsin
