I took yesterday off, so I got a 4 day weekend. Needless to say I did not want to return to work today. I had to go to the dermatologist yesterday to get some bumps looked at (to make sure they weren't the beginning of skin cancer). One was a mole, one, some sort of blood vessel formation (on my skin), and the other was just a plain old wart. I left the mole, had the blood vessel burnt off and the wart frozen (it's on my leg and looks awful). Then I went up to UNH for what I was hoping would be my last trip, to pick up my 2 copies of my bound thesis. It's a good thing I opened the box to look at them before I left because they weren't bound. 2+ hours of my life that I can't get back. And the woman I placed the order with is claiming I never told her I wanted them bound. What ever. I have no idea when I'll make it back up there to get them, I don't have a day off until October now.
Then I went out with my mom to help her with a new T.V. She doesn't want to spen more than $600 on one and we already brought home a Toshiba. It's pretty nice, but there's a Sharp on sale and she wanted to see it. It wasn't on display, but she bought it any way. When we got it home and set up, there was a giant "crack" in the screen and the lower left had no image at all. It seemed to be a pixel problem. We also realized that there was no way to delete channels from the main list once it doesn't the scan (she only has basic cable, so some channels come up on the initial scan but don't actually have a broadcast). So it went back. Her options are limited for $600 or less in a 32 inch screen, so I'm not sure what she's going to do. Overall, a fun day (sarcasm)!
