Productive Weekend and New Yoga Studio

some boy and i got much needed haircuts on friday.  he picked a haircut out of a book that i didn't like and decided that was the one he wants.  it isn't quite long enough to look like the picture yet but it will soon.  afterward, we were supposed to go to the bellydance performance but decided to get a bottle of champagne and spend a quiet night in instead.

saturday morning we finally finished the fence!!!!  we have only been working on these 4 stupid pieces of fence since the beginning of spring but alas it is finished and if we really wanted to we can now lock dog in the yard with no chance of escape.  yay, this is extremely appealing to me.

sunday i went to yoga school all day.  it was fun but seemed like forever.  during the marketing speaker we all had to go around and talk about our interest in yoga.  it was very cool that we all have such different but specialized aspects in mind - i am interested in going into yoga therapy, one girl is interested in an addiction recovery class, one in a yoga for fertility followed by pre and post natal classes and one wants to do a class for people caring for someone with alzheimer's.

joanne offered each of us a chance to do this at her new yoga co-op studio.  the dealing with addiction/addiction recovery class is already scheduled for the grand opening as well as a class where joanne and
nalaladina work together on a yoga class for victims of domestic violence.  there will also be a lady upstairs doing reiki and tuning fork therapy.  sounds like it will be quite an eclectic little studio.

along with this new co-op studio idea she also wants to offer sort of a yoga teacher support system where we will meet once/month or whenever (even those not teaching at her studio) to talk about/share anything we wish and to encourage / support each other.  she has also opened the space for all of her teacher trainees to meet and work on their tests and homework together.  and anyone else who wants a meeting space for a book club, class, performance, meeting, etc is also welcome.  sounds like she may be starting something very nice.

weekend, yoga
