Well, kids, it looks like I'll be speaking before an AZ Senate committee on Monday. There is a bill coming up that negatively impacts midwives in this state, and we are going on the offense to get it killed. Thanks! I can use all the encouragment I can get. Years of teaching childbirth classes, thereby being used to speaking in front of groups, should come in handy. But the gravity of this situation makes it very important that I not sound like an idiot.

Practice beforehand or have a 3x5 index card of key points you don't want to miss. That'll guarantee success. :)
