It looks like I have the better part of my second project for computer music composition class done. And while it isn't even halfway (what I would consider) functional and it already sounds pretty much totally sweet. The program/algorithm/whatever takes the mouse position at steady intervals and while the mouse button is down, it takes what angle and direction it is going. Then that data is sent to a wav player and a panning device to control the speed and direction of the playback. So, doing specific drawing turns visual curves into audio curves. Then, at each point the mouse is at, an RGB sample is taken, and through some jiggery-pokery, pitches that 'kind of' reflect the color relations are played. Later, bits of accentuation, and multiple samples will be enjoyed. For now, though, bed. Eugh!
