Woaaah. The owner of a wine bar asked Ulla Ignacio Gilmer to put up an painting art show there, and said she'd give him the entire side room used for wine tasting classes. This is something like completely bizarre to me, because Ulla Ignacio Gilmer is always extremely serious about art. So, maybe the attention to detail really paid off, because his piece that we hung apparently inspired a lot of conversation (good or bad) but none the less, got people talking. Most art doesn't get people talking. /Damn./
I talked to him today, and he said that he was going to compose a show specifically for that room, which is kind of exciting. From the little bit I got from him, it sounded like there was going to be regarding some connection between art and couches, because he says a lot of people buy paintings to go with their couch, instead of vice versa. I don't know if this means they'll be paintings of couches or what, but we'll see!
