'Twas such a beautiful day today! I'm feeling very good right now, even if we did have a stupid horrible AP essay in English this morning and I had to go get some more blood drawn.
Heh, the lady that drew my blood was acting sort of...odd today. She was talking about all of the bad things she could do to this contractor (said contractor had been a bit of a jerk to one of the doctors from that clinic when she and her husband were building their house). She started off kinda slowly, but the examples just progressed in a somewhat scary way; a blown up truck, slashed tires, arsenic in his tea, and finally Ex-lax in his chocolate. She then went on to tell me that the worst thing she had ever actually done was clean the toilet using her son's father's toothbrush and then watch him brush his teeth in the morning. When we left, my mom was like "I was scared for you, baby!" I was scared for myself. If someone has a needle in your arm, it's really unsettling to have them talk about these acts of revenge with such relish. I hope I don't have to get more blood work done for a while.
So, my mom and I had chili for dinner tonight. Not so strange a thing in and of itself, but we actually made this chili. From scratch. Together. This is the part that's strange. But cooking with someone else is a lot of fun, and much better than doing it by yourself. And the food was damn good, if I do say so myself.
Ok, now for the fun stuff!
http://www.rofl.name/asciiart/ - funny ASCII stuff (ever wanted to see a LOLLERskater?)
Mi Amakim - a really pretty song. I don't know the artist, and it's in Hebrew, but it's very nice
Lube - Lugowaya Trawa - a really nice song. It's in Russian, and it's very laid-back and cool
Mmmkay, that does it for me. Oh, wait! When we were cooking, I had the iPod on shuffle because cooking is more fun with music, and "Hill ~Genkaku no Yuki~ (Silent Desire)" came on. My mom stood still for second, and then said "That song sounds really familiar, but it sounds all weird!" So I explained about the remix thing and put the real one on right after it, and SHE WAS HUMMING ALONG! Not only does she recognize the Jrock, she hums along to it! I was grinning for the rest of the time we were cooking.
Right, so I'm really done now! See you later, mailbox heads!
