Don't dream it's over

Dear Internet,

The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien ended tonight, and I'll admit, I was very touched by how he went out. Pure class, through and through. I'm not really one for late night (kind of a given since I never watch it and all), but seeing his montage at the beginning made me wish that I did watch late night, if only a little. And his speech at the end was wonderful. And epic usage of "Free Bird" was epic.

So. It was a good show, and I wish Consie good luck with whatever it is he chooses to do in 7 months.

(And yes, I know this whole situation has been vaguely ridiculous and it's a little dumb to feel sorry for a man who just got paid something like $32 million, but you know what? Fuck the haters. Yes, showbiz is full of vastly overpaid people who don't rightly deserve either our love or pity - that's how far above it all they are. But I don't give a crap. Life's too short, so if you find something or someone you like, I think you should be able to go ahead and support them however you want, even if objectively it's all pretty stupid and inconsequential. So yeah, haters to the motherfucking left. I love conebone69, and even if the only time I watched The Tonight Show was during these past two weeks, what the fuck ever. That's how I chose to support him, and I'm glad I did.)

Till next time, Internet, I remain faithfully yours,

xoxo
