I hate Seadick so much, you don't even know...

Golden Globes tonight. Arrivals are happening now. I'm going to try something new this time and not live-blog, since I'm now a member of ONTD and can say whatever it is I have to say there. That doesn't mean I'm not going to edit this post, of course - I just probably won't do it as much as I have in the past.

So yeah. Stand by, folks. This one's gonna be interesting...

EDIT: So far - I LOVE THE GLOBES THE MOST BECAUSE OF THE FREE ALCOHOL. LIKE, SERIOUSLY, DRUNK PEOPLE ON LIVE TELEVISION ARE KIND OF AMAZING.

But aside from that...I'm really happy for MCH, because while I always want Hugh to win, at least he's gotten a Globe before, while MCH hadn't won anything, and he really deserves something for Dexter. I was kinda surprised that Tina didn't win again, and it just makes me wonder even more about United States of Tara, although I DNW Diablo Cody and I'll probably never watch it. John Lithgow was incredible on Dexter, so I can forgive him beating Michael Emerson.

Show's back. More later.

EDIT #2: Christoph Waltz - Yay!
Mad Men - predictable, but whatever, I like that show.
James Cameron - fuck that. Let a woman win for once, Hollywood.
Glee - ...shit. I mean, yeah, I watch that stupid show, but that's ALL IT IS, a stupid show with a fucking a capella soundtrack. Don't act like it's the second fucking coming of comedy, good lord. Modern Family is so much better.

Ooh, my bb Ed Helms is on! Hee.

EDIT #3: The Hangover - I'm torn. I thought it was hilarious, but I'm not entirely sure why it was nominated. Like, it was a dumb summer comedy that I found funnier than most dumb summer comedies. I don't know about Best Comedy Film of 2009. Hence, the me-being-torn thing. Ah well.

EDIT #4: RDJ - FUCK YEAH! I loved Sherlock Holmes, I love that man, and damn, he had the best, most entertaining speech of the night. Four for you, Rubber Ducky, you go Rubber Ducky.

EDIT #5: Avatar - ...chagrin.

Odd show this year. Basically, the HFPA is saying that the absolute best that Hollywood had to offer in 2009 were The Hangover and Avatar. If that's the way they want to go, then I guess that's their decision, but...I don't know man, that's a really interesting choice.

I'm gonna have to think about this a bit, and hope that this year the Globes aren't a bellwether for the Oscars.

Well, that was TV's last hurrah for the year, at any rate, so there you go. Glee and Mad Men? Eh.

I can't deal with this stuff at the moment. G'night.

EDIT #6: Oh shit, I forgot, I need to post this for posterity -

"DIS...is Avadah."
-The Governator

Because it was amazing. But yeah. Going now.
