Holy shit, there's Jooster up on UVA's computer science servers. By which I mean, there's actually quite a bit of fic there. Hee hee, I've no idea who this A. C. Chapin is, but I must admit, this warms my heart a great deal. I mean, there I was, minding my own business, clicking through some archive or other because I could (and certainly not because I'm avoiding physics or bio or linguistics or anything), when BAM!, there's a link to something off-site, which just happens to have a "virginia.edu" in it.
I mean, really. That is fantastic. See, Lee Goldberg? Smart, successful, academic types are into fandom too!
I really am chuffed, though. I always love it when things go around wrapping back amongst themselves. Not that that particularly happened here, of course, but...I mean, it's UVA, and I think I have the right to feel a little proprietorial towards it, and to a lesser extent, all of those constituting it, its work and policies, and its websites.
But now I really should get back to matters pertaining to my own academic pursuits (if they can rightly be called such). Which I was definitely doing before when I most certainly wasn't reading cute little Jeeves/Wooster things. Certainly. (I've been binging on Hugh and Stephen all week, and it depresses me to acknowledge that following so soon on the heels of my completion of Jeeves and Wooster, I am fast being depleted of episodes of A Bit of Fry and Laurie, to the point where only two remain unspoilt and unseen. Woe.)
