http://www.dcsmackdown.com/demo.html Oh my god.
Oh
my
god. What the fuck? I was watching without sound, so I don't know if there were humorous sound effects (there probably were), but just...wow. I'd heard about this a while back, but that was NOTHING to seeing it in action. I think my favorite attack was Romney's Mormon army; Keith didn't stand a chance. (Also, the bicycle helmets? It's funny 'cause it's true.) And with the rocks, I was like "...wtf, rocks fall everyone dies?" but it's actually getting BARACK'D. And wtf with Jesse Jackson and the infinite amount of gay streaming out of his mouth? Or is it a reference to something? And I was really hoping it would be Lou Dobbs in the Mexico background, because that would have been better than life. (Well, no, not really.) And OH MY GOD, the movements are hilarious! I mean, why do they jump so high? And with the fists? And...oh, Jesus Christ, that was kind of amazing.
I've already lost interest in the commercials. Woe. I'm basically just waiting for House now.
It's kinda funny, kinda sad: they were talking about the SoBe Life Halftime Report, and I glanced at the graphic a second before the announcer said the name, so I was a little jarred when the guy said "...Halftime ReporT". Like, I'm expecting the word "report" to have a silent t now, and that's just not right. Except that it is.
I really hope I can skeeve off Be Kind Rewind early-ish, 'cause we've got a hall meeting, which is my excuse, but mostly I'm hoping for more Conan/Colbert feuding. (Huh, Conan/Colbert? Anyone done that? Hmm...) Even though I've wanted Colby to disown Huckabee since forever ago. Ah well. Hopefully he'll be over come Wednesday morning.
EDIT: OH MY GODDDDD, SHOW HOUSE NOW YOU DUMBFUCKS. NOBODY FUCKING CARES. YOU'VE ALREADY SAID "BIGGEST UPSET IN NFL/SUPER BOWL HISTORY" A GAZILLION TIMES, YOU DON'T NEED TO DO IT FOR ANOTHER TEN MINUTES. UGH.
EDIT 2: Damn, There Will Be Blood is already #15 on
IMDb's Top 250. I mean, I thought it was as good as anything I've seen in...oh, I don't know, the last 10 years? But really, 15? Already? Shouldn't the vote totals count for something? Like, such-and-such of a number have to vet it for it to get so high? I mean, The Godfather got through over 200k and is still number 1, while TWBB's got...17k? So yeah. Not that I don't think it was tremendous, and not that I hold the IMDb voters to be the arbiters of good taste or film quality, but...it just seems incongruous sitting there under Rear Window like that.
On a related note, I've liked Paul Dano since Little Miss Sunshine, but what I didn't realize is that I'd already seen him in L.I.E., which is a fucked up little movie that I doubt many people have seen. It's weird how that happens, huh? Like just tonight, I found out that Nicole loved The Pretender, and I so rarely find people who remember that show, let alone watched it regularly.
Also...heh, House. Let the HoYay reign supreme!
EDIT 3: Sometimes I get the urge to read my old entries. I don't know why, but it's a harmless urge, so I give in to it. One thing I always like is the way I write, which surprises me because normally I hate how I write. And one thing I always notice is just how much I've changed. It's kind of like having a timeline of yourself, and every now and again you can go back and watch yourself grow up.
So in honor of my strange mood right now, here's a blast from my past:

Silly Sloganizer, it's always time to think about Jon/Stephen.
