so even though it's been like forever since i last updated this thing, i'm not going to give it one of those dumb titles like, "where have i been?", or "omg it's been like a decade!" you know, one of those stupid teeny-bopper blog titles.
well i finished my junior year, and i am finally going to start my senior year in the fall. i thought it would never come. it's so wierd too, because i've been talking to my old friends from high school recently, and they have all graduated, and here i am with one more year to go. although i guess i'm sorta happy about that because it means i don't have to me an adult just yet :)
school by the way was amazing this semester. i had this new prof. chris, and he is so grand. he loved my work and for once in the entire time i've been at this fricken school, i actually felt like i belonged here. he's one of those teachers that thinks everyone has potential, or else they wouldn't be here, therefore everyone deserves the same attention and criticism and respect as everyone else. he came in for the second semester but we had mark tocchet or as stearnie calls him, "mark touch-it" hehe, who happens to be the head of the illustration dept, for the first half of the year. he hated me and everything i did, and even told me at one point that it would "just benefit me more to leave the school, then stay there and try to finish," because he thinks i'm so awful. so needless to say, the first semester was pretty horrible for me. but chris, or patch as we call him, commended me for sticking it out and finishing the year, because it made me that much better and my work has come so far. so i'm actually excited about senior year and seeing where my work is going to go.
stearnie and i are well. tomorrow is his 21st birthday! so exciting! we're having a party for him at my apartment on friday night (in case you haven't seen his journal already). everyone is invited. it will be a wonderful affair complete with light refreshments, awesome friends, and stearnie getting more drunk than he ever has been! haha! but hey, that's what 21st's are for, right?!
other than that there is not much else going on. stearnie and i are eating better (haven't had fast food in 5 weeks). still working at DCAA, and we're both working on this show for the FRINGE festival. stearnie is in it, and i'm the art director for it. it's called FRUITFLIES: THE MUSICAL and it is written by his accompanist from westminster, katie. we took pictures for the show yesterday, and i'll post them on here later. i also did a logo for the show, although i'm not crazy about it. not my best work, but katie really liked it so i guess that's okay.
okay i should probably do some work now. bye :)
