Uhm... okay, if you say so
Well this is a first. I got an e-mail from a friend yesterday (fellow VO from NYC) who was helping a friend find a voice actor (needed a male in the NYC/Philly area), and I was the only person she could think of to do a series of industrials for a medical company.
I figured that I needed to audition, etc. right?
Wrong. Apparently, all I had to do was ship off a demo of some previous work (which wasn't asked for) and let them know that I'd do the job, include my rates, etc.
I'm not complaining, it's just nice to get a booking without having to do anything. $ is good, client seems very amicable, and I got the job based on recommendations from fellow VO talent.
Hope everyone who reads this gets a bit of this kind of luck too. =-)
