I'm finally here!

Anyway. It's been a while since I've posted. I couldn't really help it. Three weeks ago, I went to a camp called Unitown. They teach you about breaking down stereotypes and getting rid of prejudice. They teach you about accepting everybody for who they are. They do workshops on gender, race, sexuality, religion, segregation, disabilities, and a whole lot of other activities. It's really powerful. But it's
kind of hard to explain exactly... It would also take forever to explain about all that we did.

I made a ton of friends and I miss it so much. You just get to be in this almost-perfect world for 5 days where every loves each other and gets along. It was sooo awesome.

After you do this camp, you can apply to be a counselor for a larger camp called Anytown. The difference is that Unitown is just my school district, while Anytown is state-wide. I applied and it's going to be fun... if I get picked.

It's just really hard to picture myself in charge of my peers. They mentioned that on the application. I am excited though!
