Marriage Rant
Ok, so if you live under a rock here's the story about Kim Kardashian's marriage is that she was only married for about 2 months before she filed for divorce.
This really pisses me off. I am not livid about it or anything, but it just makes me feel sad for the state of humanity.
I guess the thing that pisses me off the most about it is that it was totally obvious to everyone, even to the Kardashian family themselves, that this marriage was bullshit. They didn't bother to try to hide it at all. I watch Keeping up with the Kardashians all the time and the whole time they only ever showed moments between Kris Humphries Kim/her family that made him seem like the spikey square peg in a round hole. He just didn't fit in with them, and he and Kim didn't get along at all. It was just so obvious that this was gonna end in divorce that watching the wedding special was more like watching a play. It was a total farce. The whole deal can be summed up in just one single scene from the show. It went as such:
Kris: Why are you making this such a big deal?
Kim: You don't understand. I have been planning my dream wedding since I was a little girl.
Kris: Yeah, and you could just slide any guy into it couldn't you?
And that seemingly-exaggerated defensive comment so completely hit the nail right on the head that it's not even funny. The fact that they even tried to pretend that they were getting married for the right reasons was an insult to the intelligence of the American people. (if the show isn't enough of one already.)
Reason number two for my anger: Why is it that two money-hungry fame-whores who are completely wrong for each other can get married, yet a same-sex couple isn't allowed to?
It's hypocrisy at it's finest. Oh, gay marriage might ruin America's "family values" and the sanctity of marriage. Bull fucking shit! If you think that gay marriage can do more harm to the sanctity of marriage than this fraud of a "marriage" that was shown on national television, then you have a screw or two loose buddy.
