I suddenly remembered I have another LJ account that was meant to be for fanfics and all, but it ended up not being used and lost in time. So I logged on and found my original version of The Cape of Storms (newer ver. found on my DA). I wrote it all the back in 2007...in study hall, actually! I think, compared to some of my more recent writing, you can kind of, maybe, see some improvment. ^^;
Title: The Cape of Storms (one-shot)
Summary: “Sayaka…” the name pained him. An image appeared before his eyes. A young woman, late teens, was right there. Her smile, her hair, God, Adam could smell her perfume!
The man pushed the image of his dead lover from his mind. She pained him. Her death pained him. Not being able to hold her close was killing him!
Disclaimer: I don’t own the song "The Cape of Storms."Hyde does. I don't own anything that is Kagen no Tsuki.
The wind blew, shaking the windows. Rain poured and lightning would strike at random. Sirens were going off to warn of the frightening storm and the danger it possessed.
Adam sighed and looked on.
The man felt connected to the storm, and as he took a swig of the alcoholic beverage that he held in his hand, he felt inspiration for lyrics.
With sad eyes, the singer grabbed a pen and moved it above the piece of paper. The drunken man began to write fiercely.
So where do I sail?
A ship losing control
My cries swallowed up, lost in the raging sea
So where has love gone?
Will I ever reach it?
The Cape of Storms echoes the pain I feel inside
The man wiped away a tear that came loose from his eye. He felt so much pain; his heart ripped to shreds. The singer just wanted fans to know how he felt. Most of all, Adam wished the one he cared about could hear it.

Adam remembered their occasional talks of the future. Dreams and hopes. They had wanted to grow old together, and then God took Sayaka away.
You'll never notice
The color of sin
Just as the clouds close in
It's dark
Here in the shadows
I am pursued
Until the ends of the earth
Embraced
The ghost ship wanders far
For there is no guiding star
And this treasure has no meaning anymore
What was the meaning now, anyways?
Adam had only cared for two things in his life: Sayaka and music. Without his lover, there was no music. Without music, he had no reason to keep going.
He knew this way of thinking would hurt Evil Eye. The singer knew that if he gave up, people would be disappointed, but none of that seemed to matter. Adam was lost and could not find the light to guide him back.

Adam grabbed the bottle of beer and took a hefty gulp. No matter how much he would drink, it never erased the pain. At the beginning, the booze would numb him for a while. Band members would drag him back to his house and he’d wake up with a pain in his head and a hole in his heart.
“He never use to drink like this.” someone would say.
“Sayaka had changed him for the best.” another would reply. “Adam has no one to impress now. He’s killing himself.”
The man thought about his life. Ending his life. What was keeping him from killing himself? A dream, that’s it.
Adam believed this all to be an awful nightmare and he’d soon wake up. Beside him would lay Sayaka who’d ask him what the dream had been about. Well, that’s what part of him believed.
You know completely
The taste of sin
Melting sweet in your mouth
Like chocolate
A moment of pleasure
You are fulfilled
But every dream has its time
To die
The ghost ship wanders far
For there is no guiding star
And this treasure has no meaning anymore
Will this be my fate?
Adam held his head in his hands. He didn’t want to be lost. He didn’t want to wait till his own death, years from now, to be reunited with the one he missed.
The vocalist looked at the table and picked up an object. The necklace he had bought for his lover and given to her on her 18th birthday. He held it in his hand and sighed.

Weeks went by. Adam grew more depressed with time. An interview had been recorded a few days ago, and a music video had just been finished.
He had made himself look like a fool in the interview. His words were slurred and he was completely drunk out of his mind.
The video had been better. After filming, Adam left the set. He walked for a while, smoking as he did so. The wind was fierce, as if trying to cut into the man.
Over head shined a silver moon. It hung in a last quarter phase.
The man came to a bridge. He walked over to the side of the bridge and looked down. It was a long fall. “If someone fell, they’d die.” he said out loud.
The short man sighed. “I’d die.”
He unclasped the red gem necklace from around his neck. His last reminder of Sayaka. It was all he had left.
“Sayaka, I’m coming.”
Adam brought the necklace up to his heart. With only the thought of his dead lover on his mind, he fell backwards, plunging to his death.

Stories would have it that Adam fell to his death accidentally. To drunk to walk, therefore he stumbled, and, well, cold water was there to meet him.
Fans believed he was depressed, but refused to believe that a man of such talent would kill himself.
Yet others believed the singer was afraid of fame.
His band, Evil Eye, knew otherwise. They all had guessed Adam had committed suicide, even if they didn’t want to believe it. They only hoped the sad man that had walked the Earth would find peace in the after life. They hoped Adam was, once again, with Sayaka.
