So I left on my 1 day road trip with my dad on the passenger’s side and my bro sleeping in the back of Lance around 4 AM. I drove all the way to Ocala where we ate breakfast and switch seats with my dad.
We arrived around 12 and went directly to the housing office at FSU. There I asked the guy of my status and when was I going to know if I would get a room.
The guy was really cool and he told me that he that by July 17 I would receive another letter from them informing me about my status. I then asked him what my chances where of me getting a dorm. He told me that I was pretty good on the waiting list and that if he could tell me anything that I had a 98% chance of me getting a room on-campus.
I was thrilled to hear that because a weight was lifted of my shoulders. After that we drove around campus for a while and then decided to check out the apartments I had found online.
We found some pretty cool ones and some not so cool. The prices were all right and we went on tours for a couple of them.
Out of all the off-campus places that we checked out Osceola Village was the best one. In Osceola the rooms are like a dorm 4 people sharing one bathroom. I really like that place and the environment, especially the location because it was one block away from the campus unlike the others. Also the price was about the same as living on campus.
In conclusion (because Gabby and Greg want to read this right now) I now have options of either staying on-campus or off-campus. The plan now is to wait till July 17 and find out dorm I was put in for the fall. If I like it I’ll stay on campus if I don’t I’ll stay off campus.
