I spend two days working on the PPT. I put together a veteran costume (since we all decided that yes, we're going to dress up for the presentation). I get there early and help put on the finishing touches. The rest of the group comes in and says, "Wait, are we supposed to have a speech ready?"
I am quoting. Those words left their mouths.
Standing up there in front of the rest of the class, with four completely unprepared group members (and one lady who, thankfully, typed some stuff up), was embarrassing. Not only that, but the TV cords wouldn't work with the laptop, so we had to show the presentation on a tiny little screen and hope everyone else could see it. One girl stuttered through her part, one had to make it up as she went along (a TIME LINE! You can't make that up!), and one spoke so softly that no one could hear her, which wasn't so bad, because it wasn't like she knew what she was talking about anyway. No one wore a costume.
If I'd known we'd be so bad, I really would have typed up a speech for the others. It's not like it was rocket science.
One group had a song. One group had a skit. One group brought food. But ours? Sucked. Totally. No question.
P.S. On the bright side, I made an A in 2-D class.
P.P.S. I made a B in photography. Not bad for a class that left me, you know, numb inside.
