Likelihood this will end well: uh. Still up for debate. I think.

I got up this morning feeling pretty darn upbeat. It's payday! (Yesss!) It's Friday! (Yesss!) I finally had the molah to purchase the camera I've been eyeing... and it was on sale! (Double yesss!) PLUS the Troll went with me to acquire the camera and have lunch, which always takes my day from 'meh' to 'worth getting up for'.

But then the web team got an e-mail declaring a meeting after lunch. No details. No hint as to the topic. Jason, who'd taken the day off, threw on a t-shirt and jeans in order to get to the meeting on time, because he is seriously the best boss on this green Earth. We get there, and in comes in our supervisor, his supervisor, the Marketing director, and... the President of the college. Things were not looking good for our intrepid heroes.

As it turns out, our web team is being moved to Marketing. We will be working directly under them. We are also moving buildings (???). They say moving will put our team closer to Marketing, and I suppose it will... by, I don't know, a couple hundred feet. Some of us are of the notion this will be a good thing. Some of us have our reservations. I, for one, am not sure what to think. I certainly am no fan of how they went about doing it, but on the same token, I also enjoy continued employment.

Since we were in the Troll's building, I swung by to see him and pick up an SD card he was giving me for my camera. (I know what you're thinking: Geez, does that guy give you everything? My answer: NO. Not everything. Just... stuff he doesn't need or use any more. Plus he's swimming in portable storage. And he has an endearing habit of looking out for me.) I informed him of the change, watching a look of horror cross his face. Apparently our new home is kind of smelly and not easy to wire up, but I know he will get us operational.

the troll, rl
