Wow. I had no idea how much stuff I did on LJ before the DDOS attack. Can't post? That's okay, I'll just read... wait, not working, I'll just browse... sigh. I'll just go to bed, then.
Lots of things going on that I planned to post about, but sadly most of it has slipped my mind. Two weekends ago the fam went to the local HAM Fest (HAM being a nickname for amateur radio operators) for my brother, who's interested in becoming licensed. We had lunch together without anyone arguing. Small miracles?
Tragically, everything in the garden grew beautifully and was immediately decimated by squash bugs and ants. The only thing thriving are the decorative gourds, which are, of course, the one thing we would have been okay with losing. The gourd, sweet potato, and watermelon vines latched on to the corn and yanked it down (like, overnight), and the tomatoes finally turned red, only to be consumed by insects. I ripped them out a few days ago and Dad and I have sworn we'll attack a little less organically next time around. Hopefully we'll buy heritage seeds, too.
Printmaking ends on Wednesday, so today will be spent making transfers. Can't wait to show you all the finished project!
