Already so much has changed in the first quarter of this year.
I am very happy to report that my energy level is through the roof compared to how I felt on treatment. I am able to get up in the morning and don't feel exhausted all day. I am working full time and have accepted another management position at CompUSA (Customer Service Manager).
Unfortunately, the job will not be lasting long. My company has decided to close 126 stores nationwide. That's nearly half of their operation and my store is one of them. That means a lay-off in a few months. We all figure sometime around the middle of May. My plan is to find a job to fall back on and finish my license requirements for TX real estate by the end of June, then start at Century 21.
There have been too many events in the past two months to go into details.
Most notable is this past spring break. Kimberly and I took a trip to Hot Springs, AR. We had a great time. Saw all of the sights and ate at the best restaurants. Kimberly even took me to a spa for some pampering. We were very impressed that such a beautiful place could be found in a state with such a bad reputation for being kind of run down.
Last month we celebrated Kimberly's birthday that happened to fall on Super Bowl Sunday. We did a lot of running around and playing about town that day before going over to Mom and Dad's to watch the game. Then later on in the weeks we went to a nice restaurant (PF Chang's) to cap off the weekend. It was a busy weekend and Andrews’s birthday was only a few weeks after that. Speaking of birthday's... My best friend, Steven Borcherding and his wife Justina celebrated their new son's first birthday. Welcome Shepard Paul Borcherding.
I haven't been to the doctor in a while. I'm still fighting with high cholesterol numbers and I even got a bit of a sun burn on my spring vacation trip. Shame on me. But, other than that everything has been good. I hope to see my family doctor again a few times before my insurance gets shut off due to the lay-off and I will see my oncologist in early April.
Also, in early April. Jenny and Trevor will be coming down to Texas to visit. It’s going to be great to see them again and they are going to stay at our house so I know we are going to have a great time. Then, my birthday is in April. So, like every year I am planning a get together among my friends that will involve a late night and a lot of drunken people. :) Can't wait.
I love you guys, Thanks for reading
