It has been an amazing couple of months. The holidays were great. My grandmother came down to visit from Avoca, IA for Christmas. We had a ton of gifts for everyone and wonderful food, thanks to Mom. Kimberly was in Washington over Christmas for a few days but she was back before New Years. I had a few days off work so we drank and kissed at midnight. It was great.
Speaking of drinking, the New Years Party was nothing. My company put on a Christmas party a little late (Jan 7th) and we went to that. Kimberly got to meet all of my work friends and put some faces with names. Then we all got really drunk and sat around talking about people. It was a blast.
My health is really good lately. My cancer treatments will be ending on Feb 7 and I should be able to go back to work full-time. I might even have a new position close to where I live. It would mean good money and no commute. I’m very excited about that. My cholesterol is down too. I have been sticking to a diet and was able to affect my cholesterol numbers in a dramatic and positive way. I’m still working on the exercise part. The gym I’m building in my house is coming along slow but will probably get finished once I’m making a little more money. Maybe I’ll have some pictures of my ripped chest before the end of the year.
Kimberly’s birthday is coming up soon. We are still trying to decide what to do to celebrate. It happens to fall on Super Bowl Sunday so we have a lot of options. I know it will be great whatever we choose. Too bad the Chiefs won’t be playing inn the Super Bowl. I was so excited when they made the playoff but then they promptly lost in the first round just like most years. Oh well, maybe next year.
There are so many cool things coming up for us in 2007. Kimberly will be graduating from TCU and my sister is getting married in September which means I will be flying all over the globe. YAY! Kimberly got a trip to Mexico as a graduation present and has invited me to come along. Then in September, Kimberly and I will be going to Canada for Jenny’s wedding. How cool is all that? We had also planned to go to Chicago and swing by Council Bluffs and KC on the way back some time this year. We plan on doing a bit of sight seeing and visit my best friend’s new baby. Also, my Aunt has offered to restore a piano for us if we are willing to come pick it up. It’s all going to depend on work for the third trip but the rest is already taken care of. How exciting!!!
My real estate training is going pretty slow. I’ve still got time to complete my courses and I’m hoping to take the test before fall. I still have a lot of excitement for what could be in my future with real estate but it has been hard to work everything into my schedule. I received some RE books for Christmas and they have renewed my enthusiasm but I think I’m going to need the extra time that being off cancer treatments is going to give me to catch up. I can’t wait!
Well, I guess that’s all for now. I’m sure that there is plenty more to talk about but I’ll save it for another time. I hope everything is well with everyone and I hope to talk with all of you soon.
Love Love,
