Adam Lambert Glam Nation KL Part 2
Ok, I had planned to link my vids to the setlist, but I realized that my vids were humongous and it was gonna take forever to upload them, not to mention I do not have storage for it. So I've got 2 sample vids for Down The Rabbit Hole and Fever, but the rest won't be uploaded.
Adam's concert setlist :
1. Voodoo
Loved the spooky music; was a great intro to the show as it started with a bang! Also the red lighting really complimented the whole spooky atmosphere.
2. For Your Entertainment
The top hat and fur-lined coat went really well with the whole pimp daddy thing, lol!
3. Down The Rabbit Hole
Love this song! It's very catchy and I have no idea why.
4. Ring Of Fire
Very haunting song. His voice makes it other-worldly.
5. Fever
I find the hand fluttering ridiculously adorable. And the little hip thrust Adam does just as he stands up? OMG. By now he had his 2nd costume change, took off the hat and coat and is in a hip length tunic.
6. Sleepwalker
He's wearing a floor-length coat and kinds reminds me a bit of The Phantom of the Opera. Especially when the next few sets are the slower, more haunting songs.
7. Whataya Want From Me
He did an acoustic, more upbeat version of this. Still lovely though. The audience (myself included) were all singing along with the chorus. It gave him a lovely opportunity to play around with the harmony with the audience singing along to provide the main harmony.
8. Soaked
Love the way he changed the harmony at the end to go up instead of down to make it sound more hopeful.
9. Broken Open
Still with an acoustic backing only and he sang while sitting down. I couldn't see him when he's sitting at the stage so I filmed the big screen and you could see that he was glittery all over; his hair, his face, his gloves, his earpiece, his mic, everything!
10. Aftermath
One of my fav slow songs from FYE. He sang again with an acoustic backing and it was a little quicker than the original. In fact, he modified all of the songs that he sang that night, which was great! We managed to hear a different version from the album.
Adam also said that this song was about loving yourself. In fact he said that his message was about love, no matter what kind. Beautiful.
11. Sure Fire Winners
So he ditched the coats around now and was in a sleeveless top. The climax of the song? Fantastic vocals. This guy is so amazing it's unbelievable.
12. Strut
So Adam wore a tux (but a really glittery purple one) with a cane and started strutting around. OMG, seriously. When he was thomping his cane on the stage, nearly melted into a puddle of goo. It was unbelievably hot! And the pitch he reached during the climactic part of Strut, omgggg....
13. Music Again
Ditched the cane during this song. Felt like boogeying along with Adam, lol!
14. If I Had You
So before he started the song, he said that this was the one thing to remember -- money, fame, fortune, it all doesn't matter unless you have someone to love. That was his ultimate message for this concert. Towards the end, he had the audience sing the chorus while he harmonized around it and it was beautiful.
Encore :
1. Mad World
He did another acoustic, upbeat version for Mad World. I stilll love this version, but was a bit sad the haunting version he did on Idol was not performed.
2. 20th Century Boy
I have no idea where this song came from, but it seemed to be quite well-known in his fancircles. Personally it was a bit of a let-down as I didn't really know the song, but it was still a good song. Apparently this replaces Whole Lotta Love as the 2nd encore.
Ok, now I seriously regretted not recording the whole show from start to finish coz at first I was afraid I might not have enough memory, then it was the battery. I only managed to get snippets of songs, and some whole songs that I like.
Adam, would you consider releasing a concert DVD after your tour is done? I would seriously buy it. Japan bands do it all the time. Throw in some behind the scenes and I would just die on the spot. I need to relive the magic and my vids are so not enough.
Only good thing is the proximity of my seat which gave a pretty good (albeit side) view, the HD movie which had good quality (on camera) and the camera somehow managed to avoid recording most of the screaming and chatter that plagued other videos so we get (more or less) pure Adam.
Adam, when are you coming back to perform again?!? I'm already suffering from withdrawal.
