I had an epiphany
Was listening to KAT-TUN's new album 'Break the Records ~by you & for you~' and was struck by the similarities of some of the songs to certain animes songs.
For example, Koki's solo 'PIERROT' would fit in very nicely as a Naruto OP, especially the chorus part of it. And 'Kimi Michi', which I love by the way, sounded very much like an anime song, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Then my brother heard it as he was walking out of my room and he said 'Prince of Tennis', which was perfect. Nakamaru's solo could also pass as the ED for some anime as well, probably with a background of leaves floating in the breeze, or fields of flowers or something similar, lol.
I was also surprised by Jin's song of choice on the album 'Care'. It was one of his pre-debut songs I understand, but with his recent Americanization, I was surprised to hear that -- it was so not his style, too JPop. Then I read concert reports and apparently he sang another song which was more to his current style.
