It's 4.30 in the morning and I can't bloody sleep.
Word of advice : NEVER watch anything before you go to sleep as it can be depressing and will keep you awake for hours.
On with my rant. If you haven't watched Eureka Season 3 Episode 4, don't read this.
I just watched Eureka 304 right before bedtime and OMG!! Totally blind-sided by the plot twist. Nathan Stark died!!! My favourite character in the whole show (apart from Jack Carter, that is) died!!! They killed him!!!! And by they, I mean the writers.
This totally sucks. I immediately went online to check and see if they were planning to resurrect/bring him back (coz, hey it's sci-fi, anything's possible, look at SG-1) and apparently there is no hope. The actor himself wanted to quit and so they wrote him out of the show.
I'm not complaining about the way they wrote the death, coz it was very touching and I cried. The part where Nathan smiled/smirked and said "See you around Jack."? Totally a fangirl's dream. But he died. And that's the end of that particular story. They just killed off 2 huge groups of fangirls (Nathan/Jack and Nathan/Allison) at the same time.
I am, however, extremely pissed that Nathan Stark is no longer in the script. He was the best thing to happen since he replaced the other guy in the pilot episode. Where am I gonna get my slash in Eureka now?!? Even Colin Ferguson naked in the shower multiple times is not enough to make this better!
You know, this is totally every fangirl's nightmare. Even in House? Right after Wilson broke up with House? I immediately went online to google whether Robert Sean Leonard was going to be around or did they write him out of the show for good. I almost went on my knees in thanks for the continuance of my darling RSL's appearance. Half of all the good things of the show would be gone if Wilson left. And the other half would be Hugh Laurie. Coz House would be a total miserable bastard with no redeeming qualities whatsoever since he won't be able to show his human side. So, thank you House writers!!! Please don't let any of your cast go!!! And don't kill off Wilson!!! You can sorta kill anyone else, they don't really matter that much.
Now I have no idea how I'm supposed to struggle through Eureka now that the Jack/Allison romance is all go. I was sorta there mainly for the hot guy slash. I'm just gonna die if they write in all that romance crap. It's unavoidable in any show, damnit. *Sigh*
