Praying for others
So yeah, I'm Pagan but I've been wondering about praying for people of other faiths. I started thinking of this because of the guy in Afghanistan who's going to be executed for converting to Christianity. At one time I would've been irritated by a Christian "praying for me" but I think that was because I took it as they are praying that I convert. Of course, you can usually tell if that's the case by their voice and facial expressions. I don't need to "find Jesus" because I found him once before and realized that he didn't have what I needed.
Anyway, it's something I just started thinking about. I'm wondering if this guy would be offended if I prayed to the Goddess for his safety? I see it as sending positive energy to someone who needs it. It's pretty much assured that he'll be beheaded so is it proper to pray for a quick passing? Who knows, maybe I just have a little too much time on my hands right now...yeah right.
