A+ graphics; story? What story?

Finally got around to watching the Transformers movie. On the one hand, I'm kind of sad I didn't get to see giant transforming robots duking it out on the big screen.

On the other hand, I'm glad I didn't pay theater prices to see it--borrowed it for $1 from the public library. So. Torn.

Graphics and sound effects were cool, I'm glad that Captain Lennox (according to the credits) lived to hold his baby daughter, and Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime Ruled. It just wasn't enough to balance out the rest of the movie. Heck, I had a hard time liking Sam at some points, although he was okay by the end of the movie. That Sector Seven guy was weird, and I don't know what happened to the other one--the guy with the mustache. Lost track of him in the chaos, but he was more, uh, sane at least. And I had a hard time believing that entire group (squad? unit?) Lennox led managed to make it out in one piece by the end of the movie when the rest of that Qatar base basically got wiped out, but I suppose anything's possible.

Still, at least it was a kind of hilarious bad movie instead of a piece of drek.

*snicker*, fandom-ish
