on a roll... a sushi roll

i've always wanted blue hair. i saw someone with pretty cool blue streaks this afternoon. wow. but that's not yet what i really want for my hair colour. i fell in love with the orangey red hues Geri Halliwell sported previously. and if i had my way, i want emerald green eyes. go figure. but sticking to reality, i think blue or purple suits my head better. ah well.

it was like sushi heaven just now, really. we went to this Late Night All You Can Eat Buffet. at $12, it's pretty worth it. having been made paranoid by Lawrence and Thomas (the kids) saying that food finishes fast, we decided to order as much as possible in one shot. only the adults with their foggy eyes didn't notice the serving sizes stated next to the items, so what they'd thought was an 8 people-serving plate of spring rolls turned out to be one piece of spring roll. you get the drift. obviously, the glutton (uh, me) had to save the day. tick tick tick, including other delicacies the adults missed out on, and suddenly we had so much food, the table wasn't enough! mind you, they've given us a prviate room on account of the size of our party already! haha. it was all good though, albeit some amusing incidents like having 5 different types of chicken - bbq chicken, deep fried chicken, spicy deep fried chicken, teriyaki chicken and yakitori (skewers). o_O but the sobe received scant notice. it was so bad, we were devising ways to hide the entire plate (about 3 servings worth!) of noodles. oh, and my presence was greatly appreciated - mostly because of my eating stamina. x= i think i died in green tea heaven as well haha. by the way, green tea tastes great with ice-cream. not that we had ice-cream just now, but i had good experiences with it. you're supposed to take a spoonful of ice-cream (something light, like vanilla, as opposed to chocolate? unless it's malt chocolate!), then a sip of green tea. it's refreshing, i tell you. d= seriously, i think sushi bars here are much better than in singapore. greater variety, better tasting. die, sakae sushi.

that makes three good things bout canada:
1)35 books!!! i'm still in disbelief.
2)good sushi
3)almost all the stations have good music. even those pop ones aren't overwhelmingly mindless.

but i'll much rather have my zyfie, the too-bright-now but still affectionately-held GECL and good old HDB flats.
