Finally updating...
Got here on Saturday night. The whole journey was like 24 hours long or something. For one, we left the houes really late so we didn't have much time at the airport. Didn't have time to talk to zyfie, or mama, or my friends much. Then it was another mad dash to the waiting lounge. Ack. And we've got so much each for our hand-carry items. I had my notebook slung over one arm, the handbag over the other, and had to lug a suitcase with a duffel strapped onto that. o_O I don't think I ever want to go through that sorta thing again. Argh.
The seats weren't as crammed as I thought. Food kinda sucked on the first flight though. Just ate a bit, slept and watched Monsieur Ibrahim. Heh that was quite a good show. Oh yea, my first "real" sight of snow was the crystals on the window pane on the plane! Flight to Taiwan took bout 4 hours, which seemed pretty fast to me. Taipei was really lit up so it was quite nice landing there.
It was awfully sian during the transit in Taipei though. The DFS shops were all those cosmetics/liquor/tobacco sort. There were very few eateries, and the one we went to? The service was sparse and the beef noodles I ordered was bland and hard to chew. Gah. The airport was really empty and dead. Not all the travellators work too. O_O Tried to get on the wireless but failed so ended up reading my book. Heh managed to use my phone though - smsed zyfie, Cheryl and Amal. Called my baby too. (= Then it was another stupid dash to the plane. Haha, people taking that flight were pretty kiasu too, queuing up anxiously to get in first. lol. More struggling with the luggages. I concluded that the service from EVA Air is merely passable. They were just fair on the plane, but the attendant whom I'd asked to help my sister was really not up to the mark. Food on this flight was much better, but choice of in-flight entertainment wasn't up to the individual like on the first flight. They played Polar Express. heh. Didn't watch though, was having a headache. I sneezed quite a bit on the plane and this boy who was sitting in front of me would turn around everytime I did. Reminded me of Wilfred kacau-ing me every time bout sneeze. *rolls eyes*
It took forever to get through immigration in Canada. So much luggage too. It was freezing out there, like 3 degrees Celsius. Yikes! Oh and we're not actually staying in the city, but in the outskirts of Vancouver, this town called Delta (please excuse me if I've got the divisions all wrong). It's like a half an hour drive from the city! *bumps* The house where we're putting up is pretty sweet, but it's too quiet for me. I would have much preferred to living downtown where the bustle of the city hides the fact that I'm alone (as opposed to being near zyfie). We went down to the Bay yesterday. I liked it there - the view, the presence of the woods and that it's still in the city area but houses are quite expensive. *sigh*
Having problems with my calling card. Kept getting this "waiting error" so I can't call my zyfie!! Argh. >_< Sorry, darl. I'll try again later okay?
I sure hope the wireless gets set up soon here. I hate my father's notebook. Eek. Erm... gonna take even longer to keep up with comments and friends page.. sorry x=
Baby, take care k? *hugs*
