la france socialiste!
i woke up at... one. yikes! was just in time to bathe and eat before going for french. hmmm apparently, we're done with reflets 3 and on to panorama 4!!! yay! i hated reflets 3 cuz it was so so so boring but panorama is good, much more interesting heh. got a new teacher too (well, it didn't occur to me what). name's jerome.
i was a little late for class cuz i was held up doing my registration. couldn't go for class last week since i was at camp. when i stepped into class, everyone seemed so focused and prepared, and jerome looked pretty no-nonsense type so i thought he was dead strict and fierce! haha.
i was really lost for the first half an hour or so when he was going through the homework. i guess it's a culmination of missing quite a few lessons *sheepish* and the faster paced lessons. ack, at the rate he's going, and the difficulty of the texts, i'll have to be very very very guai liao~ maybe that's just as well, cuz i was really drifting from french this year.
we've got two new classmates (at least, i only saw these two today). one's manners were a bit jun-ish but without jun's sophistication, and the other seemed more solemn and a little weathered. hmm. i think i'm pretty convinced too, that most french guys either 1) are gay 2) look gay. there's dremaux, christophe and now jerome. O_O
we were discussing french and singaporean systems, and he kept emphasizing how everything in france from education to welfare were gratuit (free). later we got to reading some text comparing socialism and capitalism, which our friendly tai tai took a little while to understand. then she said something like "oh, so le morale socialiste est comme comme la france, tout gratuit?" HAHAHA! that was so classic! i should have watched jerome's expression instead of laughing away heh. rocks totally!
baby didn't want to go into AF cuz he'd rather not bump into his teacher...only he ended up walking smack into him in the carpark! poor kiddo heh.
