I haven't posted in a long time. It has been a whirlwind summer.
There are so many things I didn't get to do, but I accomplished so many other things.
Things are going well at the house. I love living here on Green Street. The house is beautiful and the yard is so peaceful. I have discovered that, Surprise! Surprise! I love doing yard work. It's therapeutic and gives you a great sense of accomplishment. However, I somehow managed to kill two lawnmowers. The first one was my dumb fault... the hot neighbor walked by while I was mowing and I hit the oil fill pipe because I was too busy looking at his ass. But, the second one died for no apparent reason. Damn cheap-ass Walmart piece of S#!T. Thanks to John Straw for lending me his lawnmower so I could finish.
Inside the house, I painted the living room (98% complete). I cut out the hidden bookshelves in the dining room, and I figured out how to turn on all the lights in the "Silence of the Lambs" basement. Sounds easy, but it wasn't.
The roommate situation is great. Richard is one of the most genuinely nice people I have ever met. We are getting along great. There are rumors floating around out there about a romantic involvement, but Richard and I both assure you that It's not true. His health is concerning me. Today I spent a few hours with him in the ER. He has been admitted to the hospital AGAIN!
For those of you out there who are close-by, you're probably rubbing your eyes, and checking the date on this posting. Well, you can stop. Yes, Richard is BACK in the hospital. He just got out Sept 19, and is back in ten days later. Same problem (Cellulitis). Please all of you who can, visit him. He is the kind of sweet person who thrives on being near his friends, and a short visit from you would mean the world to him. I'm hoping this stay will be a short one.
On October 12th, I'm flying to Colorado! It won't be all pleasure, in fact I doubt that there will be much pleasure at all! HA HA. In June, my friend Terri moved out there. I took a week off to drive her car and her dog and three cats to Colorado. At the time, she thought she would be living there for a year or more, but she decided she doesn't like it and wants to move home. So, I'm going to do the previous trip in reverse. It's actually a beautiful drive. Lots of interesting scenery along the way.
Thanks to those of you who made it the whole way through this entry. I know some of you out there delete any posting that has more than 5 lines. I'll try to post more often in the future. Perhaps if I have less to say, I can keep it within those guidelines.
