Does it make me a bad person that I actually, unh, liked it?
I'm so sad we don't get Eurovision here in the States, because it would be, like, my total vacation right there. I would be all over it like a cheap suit.
But seriously... I think of the song in the way I think of a car crash. Horrific and yet I cannot turn away! Eurotivision is great fun, so long as you don't even think of taking it seriously. It's cool, in a cheesy pop sort of way and it's nice to gather round with your friends and watch it, laughing raucously. It's one of those things that, on the one hand is truly awful, but on the other is... kinda cool to.
As for your liking it... well... each to their own I suppose... and everyone has their own taste in music!
It's got the right level of cheese, but songs that are actually about Eurovision or some such never do well. It needs a lyric change.
The SO and I are so sadly into Eurovision. It's a big evening in for us with a copious supply of booze, and a lot of laughing at Wogan's cracks XD Only, now, of course, we see it late, because we have to DL it.
That is the best way to enjoy Eurovision. I do so adore Wogan on it, he has just the right take on it. I actually quite like it as an event, it's truly dreadful but that makes it kinda good too. I must find someone to watch it with this year, whenever it is on.
Um, if anyone starts doing that on my flight to London -- aaaaaaahhhhhhh. Oh god. No.
But I have a fairly high level of immunity to the kind of international representation that makes me want to flee to a remote island somewhere and adopt a fake accent and wear sunglasses all the time. I mean, I live in America. >_<
(However, this cheese factor is truly phenomenal. I mean srsly. I have no words. o_O)

But...but...I thought the cheesy was what made it! :-)
I must...I must regain my street cred liek whoah!
I have Billy Bragg and Dropkick Murphys downloads on my LJ. Will that let me back into the good taste in music club?
*pssst*
Still kinda liked it.

Unlike the English entry, which is just... just... it's just so very, very BAD!
(But, by being so utterly, irredemably awful, it's also kinda good in a twisted way...)
