Maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you.

I'm sick again. Out of nowhere, I started coughing up a storm last night. I took some cough syrup before I went to bed, but it didn't really help since I went through the whole day today hurting my chest muscles by coughing. I kept getting headaches because of it, and now I have a 102 fever. What did I do wrong! My nose isn't running at all! Freakin' immune system, do your job! I finished my bottle of Nyquil about 10, 15 minutes ago, so I have an hour to play with before I'm unconscious.

I'm still conflicted over Cabbage. The lust continues to be absent, but it seems it's been transformed into warm affection and intellectual attraction; maybe I'm idealizing my confusing emotions, hoping for the best. At any rate, the mixed messages have ceased, and it's like he's just there, being himself and attending class. I didn't bother to check if his glance fell my way this week. I wonder if that contributed to how I felt in the class today: for some reason, I felt incredibly comfortable, a sensation reserved for my English seminar. The prof intimidates me, so I've never felt at ease in his classes, but today was the exception - why? Was it because of the decreased amount of attention I allotted for Cabbage? No other variable changed. Intriguing.

We discussed Willa Cather's My Antonia in English sem today. At the end of class, someone praised Antonia as an independent heroine whom she loved. She said, "I like characters who are independent and do things because they want to." My memory was immediately called back to sophomore year when I denounced Elizabeth Bennet as an unlikeable character and lauded sister Jane as my favorite. An avalanche of thoughts tumbled through my brains, which I have no the time to expound upon in full because I can feel the Nyquil kicking in. I shall simply leave several keywords to jog my memory when I return.

Individual vs. society
Expectations
Assimilation
Philosophy seminar + Religion class + English seminar
