I broke down and ordered my new tires today, since discounttiresdirect.com was running a $40 instant rebate special on them. So four new tires at $68 each less $40 is $232 shipped direct to Mavis. It's going to be another $80 to get them installed and balanced, so the whole shebang is gonna cost me $320 plus whatever tax is on the installation.
Really not too bad, all things considered. My current tires are over 60,000 miles, and although they're rated for 80,000, I push my car pretty hard through corners and curves and it doesn't surprise me that they've worn a little faster. I could probably get another 5,000-10,000 miles out of them, but they're running toward bald and it's not worth it. Rather get the new equipment and get back to pushing my car to ridiculous speeds on highway ramps. :)
I love my Yokohamas.
