Well, I started watching Person of Interest because silvrey was watching it, and remained mostly indifferent until Root showed up, but when she did, oh boy. Anyway, I drew this for Eli because he is a fantastic friend and a source of much laughter and happiness for me. Originally I thought I'd just do a nice, quick and easy Root and have fun with it and then, as they always do, it turned into a massive undertaking instead and this was born.

Graphite, watercolor, acrylic, & white gel pen on 9x12" Stonehenge. I've been trying out a different technique for painting skin lately, and I don't really know how it's working out for me. I think in the last two images, Chrysler Imperial & its (still unfinished) companion it worked really well, and here I sort of used it out of what felt like necessity to resolve some issues I had with the graphite, but I'm just not sure if it's more appealing or if it looks terrible. It definitely brings more of a sense of opacity and less of translucency to the skin, which could be a positive or a negative depending on how you look at it.
