Holy wow. This art is gorgeous. I just... I wanna write a thousand stories and have you illustrate them. Or you can make a thousand drawings and I'll write stories for each of them. This piece is incredible, and without having read the story, it's also very evocative in its details. The blood in Arthur's eye and on the cuff of Eames' pants, Eames' lopsided tie, the expression on both their faces. I'm in awe, seriously.
This is stunning. I don't even know where to start. Arthur looks so worn out and almost haunted, and I love the way Eames is watching at him with a calm kind of wariness, like he can tell Arthur's on the edge of something and he's not sure what but he's going to be there for whatever it is, however ugly it is.
I keep scrolling back up and taking in different details, like the blood and the patterns and the lighting on the branches in front of the bridge, AND THE BRIDGE, DEAR LORD. That is a gorgeous fucking bridge. I'm trying to recall that one art history class I took so I can analyze its significance accurately. ARE THEY BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN THEIR DIFFERENCES OR IS THE BRIDGE REPRESENTATIVE OF THEIR NEED TO BUILD TRUST. Or maybe sometimes a bridge just a bridge. Point is, you have such a talent for telling a multitude of stories with your art and it makes it very hard to look away.
I think the moral of this story seems to be that I should draw more bridges. Thank you for the lovely comment, bb. You really got what this piece was about.
