Aqualad's first experience with fire.

It can be fun curiosity, like roasting marshmallows over candles in the living room, OR go the other direction with blind fear and panic, maybe he just burns his hand on said candles and freaks out because of the new (and painful!) sensation.

(Bonus points for someone helping him get over this fear, especially if it's Superboy finally feeling useful since fire doesn't bug him)

He is roughly equivalent to a bishop in the Catholic Church on land, or a duke under the English crown. The twelve year old Kaldur secretly finds the man's bearing, stern but not unkind, worthy of idolizing, even if his admiration does have a little to do with the position he represented in the governing of all Atlantis ( ... )

This foray into Atlantean culture is very interesting. It's written so well that I can practically see it in front of me. And the little indications of Kaldur's personality and analytical mind showing through is just amazing.

Looking forward to more. This fill is clearly going somewhere great.
