Prompt Post - Part Ten
I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.

Then all hell broke loose.
“He’s not a creep… okay, he is a creep but he’s my creep.”
“Yeah? And what about Robin?”
“What about Robin?”
“Are you insane? You’ve been stringing Robin along while you’re dating a creepy kid from Gotham?”
Wally doesn’t know what to say to that. Go with denial, Wally. Denial always works.
“What? No, I never string anybody along.”
It was at this point that Kaldur stepped in. “Wally, you do tend to… flirt a lot. Perhaps you didn’t mean it to be serious but from what I could see… Robin did.”
Megan chimed in with a “Poor Robin.”
Conner just harrumphed in agreement.
Wally looked at everyone in shock. “Woah, waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitWAIT! Hold on a second… You guys thought I was flirting with Robin?”
The truth was that Wally flirted with everyone but he did flirt with Robin. With every intention of it becoming serious but he never wanted the rest of the team to find out about it. He thought he was being subtle but the entire team knew about how much of an idiot he made himself trying to get Robin’s attention? And then…? They must think… shit.
Artemis scoffed. “Oh we KNOW that you were flirting with Robin. And poor Robin fell head over heels for you and now you’re going off and nailing some rich kid that probably has at least six different guys on the side.”
Wally whirled around and glared at her. He didn’t care if he understood where she was coming from but even if this was still a gigantic misunderstanding nobody should talk about Dick like that.
“Hey! You don’t even know him! So stop pretending like you do! For all you know he could be the most selfless and caring person ever!”
“Yeah, right.”
Wally crossed his arms and turned away. He sulked at stayed quiet for the rest of the trip.

Hmm. You know, Wally, there's an upside to this whole ordeal. The team didn't only notice you flirting with Robin, they noticed it working! They're actually positive that Robin is in love with you! So Robin is obviously in love with you too!
How about you focus on that? It's a happy thought, right? It could sustain you for now.
*snorts* Oh, he's so in denial. He only thinks he managed to restrain himself from melting into a mass of gooey speedster. The rest of the team saw the truth. He did melt into a mass of gooey speedster, didn't he?
I loved how Wally jumped to Dick's defense despite being a little mad at him.
*offers cookies* For more?

And yes. He did melt into a pile of gooey speedster but it's okay. That line is going to come back and bite Dick in the behind later. :D
Hmmmm, are they oreos? I will only accept oreos as payment to write more. Lol just kidding. I've been working on more regardless of getting cookies. This prompt is just so much fun!

Dick being all UGH ROBIN and just playing up the role and putting Wally in the spot lol
“Thanks, babe,” and whispered a harsh, “we are going to talk later and you are in so much trouble” so that the rest of his teammates didn’t hear. Dick smirked at him and asked in that same hushed whisper, “Are you going to punish me?”
Oh my~
and the team being protective of Robin at the end and Wally defending Dick and and and;alksjfd I LOVE YOU OK

The next weekend at the cave, Robin was back and all healed up. He gave everybody smiles and immediately started looking for Wally. He made sure to ask everybody if they’ve seen Wally. Even though he knew that Wally wouldn’t possibly be there right now. Not after the long loving and “oh-my-gosh-I-need-you-right-now-come-over-please” text message that he sent to Wally only minutes before.
But the team reluctantly told him that Wally wasn’t there. Robin had looked a little crestfallen until he brightened a little and changed the subject.
But then Kaldur had asked, “Robin? Could I talk to you for a minute?”
Robin raised an eyebrow and nodded.
Kaldur led him to the kitchen and surprisingly none of the other members of the team were around.
Kaldur looked nervous and he shifted a bit. He sat down at the table and motioned for Robin to sit down as well. After a while of him shifting and looking uncomfortable Kaldur finally asked, “Robin… is it alright if I ask you something... something that may be personal?”
Internally Dick calculated the possibility of him asking about Wally and found that actually there was a smaller chance that the Joker would escape Arkham again. He smiled and said, “Sure, Kaldur. Anything at all.”
Kaldur took awhile until he finally asked, “I may be overstepping my boundaries and if that is the case please do not feel obligated to answer. But… do you… do you love Wally?”
On the inside, Robin cackled. That had been the exact question he was expecting from Kaldur. After his little show that night at the ball, he figured that his team would definitely be worried about poor Robin who was starcrossed in love with a terrible flirt who could only turn out to be a heart breaker.
On the outside however, he played his part to a T. He at first looked surprised then he slightly hunched his shoulders. Then he nervously laughed and said, “Wh-what? What are you talking about? I mean…” His shifted his eyes and his posture to complete the look of “uncomfortable but trying to hide it” and then continued. “I mean, how could I possibly fall for a guy who’s got a vacuum for a stomach? That’s ridiculous.”
Failed and awkward attempt at humor always made things seem more realistic when trying to convince someone that you are in love with someone else while trying to convince them that you aren’t.
Kaldur looked apologetic and said, “Robin… we could all read the signs. How you two would always gravitate towards each other and how the two of you have more physical contact than any other pair on the team…”
Robin smiled. It looked like the team seemed to have caught all of the major hints he’d carefully planned and-
“And… the way you stare after him… like…. Almost as if you’re scared you’ll never see him again. And sometimes the ways you touch him and it will linger just a moment longer than maybe would be appropriate for friends. And sometimes when we are training your mouth will slightly be open while you stare at his legs. And you always make sure he has enough to eat. You seem to drop everything to make sure he has enough food. Not to mention you let him get away with things that the rest of us would not dare try to do. For example on that last mission that we had before the one at the charity ball… Wally picked you up bridal style and you never once complained. You just made jokes about how married you two were…”
After a pause, Dick couldn’t help but give an incredulous laugh and ask, “Is that all?”
Kaldur looked uncertain for a minute before he took a breath and said, “Well, there was that one time where-”
He decided to cut him off there and said, “I was being sarcastic.”
