I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.
If there is anything I haven't responded to, as of now, I'm

Burning. M'gann's Martian genes screamed when the contact of the flames met her skin. Had the villain known her greatest foe or simply summoned the fire with the usual ill-intentions?
It burned so very, very bad. Only when her teammate's combined forces distracted the enemy enough was she able to gain freedom from the fire's wretched claws.
Nonetheless, she was too hurt to retain her ability to fly, and so M'gann braced herself for the oncoming fall.
Robin caught her (of course, he was the Batman's protege, always alert and willing to protect without heed for his own safety) before anybody else had a chance to react, but the momentum carried them over the precipice and into the deep blackness below.
The downside of fighting in an enclosed environment underground was clearly beginning to show.
Through the haze, she remembered her brave comrade scrabbling desperately at the rocks as they descended, grabbing and scraping and cutting his hands, hoping to somehow prevent their inevitable impact.
In the end, the most he could manage was to angle it so he landed first and M'gann on top. Crushing the fragile, human bones beneath.
Worse was the fact that nobody followed, because their trip over the edge and the villain's following attack had apparently triggered a cave in. They were both alive, with both hearts beating, yet nevertheless trapped.
And in rather rough shape.
Robin was incapable of moving and in no condition to be moved. The cold chasm they sat in was too cramped to stretch out regardless. M'gann slouched next to her teammate, who tried to act unbothered, when they both were aware of the grievous pain he was likely suffering. She was also affected by the earlier brush with fire and currently reaping the consequences of the prolonged exposure.
M'gann had complete faith in their comrades coming to save them, yet the longer they stewed in the hurt and bleakness, the resolute optimism she had stored grew hollow.
"Figures I would fall," Robin wheezed in a laugh-like voice, and the words were strangely bitter.
She wanted to say something along the lines of 'Conserve your strength' but honestly, hearing his voice was music to her ears inside this empty prison devoid of noise.
"Because that's what happens when I make mistakes. I go down, and this time, there might not be any getting back up," he continued without humor, only a black shower of misery. "And I have no one to blame but myself."
"Don't says those things," M'gann scolded gently. Worry seeped out between the cracks of her poorly constructed sternness. Maybe if she had more bite to her bark, Robin wouldn't have went on despite her pleading.
"No, it is my fault-if I could stop screwing up, stop failing everybody I care about-"
And M'gann really, really hadn't meant to. Reading minds without permission was off limits; she understood, she abided by this Earth custom as to not upset her friends. But at that moment Robin's feelings were so loud, so utterly potent that her powers unleashed themselves upon his ailing mind of their own accord, sinking into the secrets the Boy Wonder kept hidden so far away.

A man with dark intentions speaking to the owner, the boy overhearing; nervously wondering what the man meant by making them pay 'by other means.' His unease quickly forgotten after Haly assures him everything is fine and to suit up, his family is waiting...
Then right before the show, again, the mysterious man is present. The boy takes of note of the appearance, even attempts to tell his dad, but then the curtain rises and the thought is pushed to the back of his mind once more.
If only he had told them...ropes snapping, spectators screeching in horror, sawdust scattering overtop bodies on the ground, and a lone voice screaming for his beloved parents...*
"Oh, Robin." She exited the memory to find wetness streaming down her cheeks, sending cool trails simmering down her feverish face.
"You saw," he rasped. His own countenance unveiled no betrayal or surprise.
"Bits and pieces," she confessed wobbly, powerless to keep her emotions at bay. "Robin, what happened was in no way your fault. You were only a child, you couldn't have known!"
"Yeah, and what am I now?" he snarled. "In the law's eyes, I'm still only a child. But children of Batman or superheroes or circus performers cannot afford to make mistakes. I should have known..." A fitful cough brought forth a dribble of blood from his dry throat, exposing the mortal weakness the Batfamily put so much effort into hiding, and the Boy Wonder's all important compose finally shattered. "I should have *saved* them!"
Robin did not start to cry; instead the muscles in his body seized tensely, his frame shook, and his throat choked out a series of heaving gasps that sounded akin to sobs. M'gann, for all her lack of medical knowledge and social normality, knew exactly what to do.
She wrapped her arms around her friend and sent as much warmth through their mind link as she could spare.
"Never, ever blame yourself," she whispered tenderly, holding him close through the terrible tremors. Not even the love she felt for her Martian siblings rivaled the bond she had with this boy or the determination with which she believed that single fact. "Never."
When they were rescued-*if* they were rescued, a traitorous voice in her head hissed-she would have a great deal to talk about with the caped crusader. Or perhaps Wally might know how to remedy his best friend's woes. Maybe even that oh-so-nice butler who visited the Team once and seemed to have a solution for everything?
She wasn't sure who to consult on the matter. Currently, the only person she wished were there to give advice was a physician. Preferably a doctor skilled to a great extent. Robin's condition was perpetually worsening, and M'gann was running out of guesses.
"Hey, M'gann?" Robin said abruptly after a while.
"What is it?" she replied quietly.
"No matter what happens...I'm glad to be your teammate. And everyone else's. We made a kickass group of kid crimefighters." Here he smiled, and that was the joy of the youth, wasn't it? Their ability to smile even in hopeless peril.
"Yes, yes we did," M'gann agreed, smiling back. His heartfelt admittance was met with another surge of powerful emotion. This time Robin's mind invited her to take a look.

Tears on the brim of her eyelids, M'gann receded from the memory with a sigh. She gazed down at her teammate and observed every broken, bruised, or bleeding piece of flesh and whole-heartedly wished there was some way to help.
He was in such awful pain, an ache which she had no way of quelling, not without...well, not without ending *everything.* And that was simply not an option. So. If a song was the only thing she could offer to console him, then damn it, she was going to give him one.
M'gann sniffled back her own feelings and began to fill the silence with a soft melody, taught to her once by a woman she also called mother...
"Red sand covers the ground...
Wind whispers over the mounds...
Hush, my darling, dry all your tears...
We've sang about sorrow for too many years...
The sun rises soon, yet we must not fly...
Let me urge you to sleep with this sweet lullaby...*
At last, sleep overcame the restless Robin and his ragged breaths evened out. M'gann hung her head, the exhaustion of her own injuries threatening to consume. *No,* she forced herself to stay upright, clinging to the cradled body of her fallen friend. *I must remain vigilant. Have to be awake for when they come...*
*If* they come, the mean voice continued to taunt.
Unwilling to dwell on the dreadful possibility, M'gann zoned in on Robin and his eerily still position.
He looked so peaceful, so young and small; so entirely too vulnerable. M'gann may appear to be only sixteen, but she has existed in life for forty eight years. She has watched many of her own siblings grow and learn, yet never so fast as Earth children must...
On Mars, M'gann seemed to have all the time in the world-she never realized until traveling to a different place. However, as she lay here amongst another planet's dirt and death, she knew her strength was dwindling as well.
She could not stay focused, could not keep herself steady...she was failing Robin, who was right, there was no room for mistakes when lives were on the line. M'gann was barely able to fathom a conceivable escape anymore. Survival was officially lost. Robin would succumb to his wounds soon, and she would not be far behind...
And then, like the call of angel sirening out through the dark, like a beacon ray of light casting the shadows concealing them in that tomb away, she heard it:
*"M'gann? M'gann, where are you?"*
In the midst of their gloomy little chasm, M'gann was too drained of happiness to even conjure a smile; as it was, she put all her remaining energy into sending Uncle J'ohn a mighty enough mental response so that even if, *when* she passed out, they would be found. Both of them. Home. Safe. Soon.
And she, too, finally slept.
Had to make it a happy ending(:
A/N: My first fill on this meme, and I've never written a piece from M'gann's pov, but I love the idea of Rob/M'gann sibling love. So tell me how I did?
