I am REALLY, REALLY SORRY about taking so long, guys, and about not being around much recently. I've been busier than I have in a while, and it just kept slipping my mind between uni applications and volunteering and all sorts- for some reason I thought we were much further off a new post.
If there is anything I haven't responded to, as of now, I'm

At the time it had almost - almost - been funny, in its own right.
Captain Marvel stared, stricken, at the spot where Black Adam had vanished only seconds before. “He got away!”
Superman shook his head. “It’s not your fault. Sometimes you can’t catch all of them. He’ll be back before long, you’ll see. You can beat him then.”
Captain Marvel’s entire frame sagged as he turned to look at him. Like Superman, he’d gotten some scrapes in his clothes from the fight, and a few scattered bruises, but was otherwise unharmed. “I hope he doesn’t hurt anyone else before I find him,” the younger hero said. “Next time, I won’t let that happen again.” He offered Superman a weak smile. “Thanks for coming to help me anyway.”
Maybe it was the adrenaline from the battle. Maybe Clark thought he had seen something in that smile, something that logically speaking couldn’t be there.
But whatever the reason, his self-control suddenly crumbled away to dust, to nothing. He pulled Captain Marvel close by the shoulders and kissed him, hard, on the mouth.
The kiss lasted about as long as it took for Clark to fight back the sudden, intense burst passion that had overcome his senses. By the time he realized Marvel wasn’t kissing back, Superman had mustered up the mental fortitude to reluctantly pull away.
The World’s Mightiest Mortal was staring at him in complete and total shock, his mouth unapologetically hanging open. “W-Whoa,” he said, spluttering.
Clark looked at the ground in sudden shame. What had he done? The younger hero had trusted him like a mentor, and he had just unraveled all that in a single moment. “Captain, I - ”
“Holy moley!” Captain Marvel interrupted, awed. His blue eyes were still wide, but somehow - impossibly - there was no trace of anger or fear in them. Only surprise. “Did you - Did you just - I didn’t know boys did that!”
The answer was so honest, so absolutely sincere that Clark completely lost it. He doubled over, laughing helplessly, and didn’t stop until his chest ached.

Can't wait to see more adorable but dirtybadwrong interaction between Clark and Billy.
Also, Batman, I guess it's time to break out the Kryptonite.
