He contemplated telling someone. He considered going to Kaldur or Robin and explaining it to them so that they could do something about it. They knew Wally better than he did. What stopped him was the knowledge that he would be telling others about things that he shouldn’t know. Wally clearly didn’t want anyone to know about his nightmares and it would be an extreme invasion of privacy to announce the said nightmares to others. It wouldn’t be right.

He didn’t say anything about anybody else’s nightmares because it was their business to tell.

But it also felt wrong to just… leave it be. There was nothing that the genomorphs gave him in terms of knowledge that covered what to do in a situation like this. Clearly nightmares where Wally nearly stopped breathing were not good. Hearing the heart beat getting faster and faster with the following breaths becoming more ragged was like watching M’gann or one of his other teammates being hurt in front of him.

The others accepted his help, but Wally didn’t. Wally had even gone so far as to lock his door once to stop him from getting in. Not that Conner had allowed that to stop him. He’d simply broken the lock on the door and walked in. Wally hadn’t spoken to him for two days straight after that.

So the trend continued.

Conner always woke Wally up.

Wally always ran.

Conner's care for his friends is admirable. Him using his powers (albeit accidently) is becoming useful because he manages to help his friends from experiencing their nightmares for too long. Especially Wally. Hearing the fact that his dreams cause him such physical pain as well as mental breaks my heart. I fear what would happen if Conner doesn't wake Wally up from his dreams during the night. According to Conner, it causes Wally to have problem breathing and to speed up his heart. That could cause Wally to have a heart attack, become suffacated to death, or having a panic attack. Reminds me of a quote about how if a person dies in their dreams, then they die in real life. Such a scary concept.

Wally's denial and need to keep to himself makes me kind of angry and exasperated at the redhead. He's causing himself emotional harm for not confronting his feelings and being in denial will inevitably cause him to break down. I can't wait to see the others' reactions to Wally's different emotions. Especially sadness/despair. It will definitely give them an insight into their friend's true character. That's what I love about Wally: he's an enigma. I just wish he could show what he really feels and not hide it inside.

Again, really love where you're going with this story. I can't wait to see what you come up with next ^^

You got it right! Wally is having panic attacks in his sleep. I really wasn't sure if I potrayed that well enough. I wasn't sure if I described it right and was afraid people would just be scratching there heads asking me what I was trying to do.

I made the mistake of trying to fill one without writing the whole thing out. I'm still working on the other prompt but i decided to get really far into it so that I can go back and adjust the story if I need to. So while i do have another one started it's not really... going to be filled any further for a while.
