"They've cornered Batman and Nightwing."
This brought Impulse, Tigress, Tempest and Kon into the room at a dead run. The ex-Young Justice team were possibly the most invested in the case of Batman going rogue. Their devoted teammate had followed after their old Commander without a thought, and while Nightwing was an extremely close friend, Batman had slowly but surely become one too. It was Batman who declared they were ready to join the League, and the one who congratulated them all when they did.
On the screen now was a news broadcast by Cat Grant, showing Superman and the rest of the Big Seven battling and losing against the rogue League members. Hawkwoman was trapped in a net that shocked her every time she moved, her mace kicked aside and out of reach, John Stewart as Green Lantern was out cold not far away, and most of the others were in similar condition. Only Superman and Wonder Woman stood against Batman, while the Flash tried and failed to apprehend Nightwing, who was all too used to fighting a speedster and was winning because of his many spars with Wally.
"Why do they resist?" Kaldur asked, grip tightening dangerously on the back of the chair M'gann sat in. Wally paused in switching the satellite feed so they could have a better view of the battle and Conner looked away from them all.
"They lost someone close to them, and the League could have stopped it and they didn't." Wally said before clicking a few more buttons and bringing up multiple angles of the battle on the various screens.
"They lost a lot of people close to them." Conner corrected, trying in vain not to think of the city that was once Gotham. After an earthquake measuring 7.5 on the richter scale had nearly razed the city to the ground, a plague had set in and the Government declared the city a No Man's Land rather than rebuild what was called the Cesspit City. Lots of people had died. Batman and Nightwing and the new Robin had gone insane.
"The army has arrived." M'gann said with a sad expression as a hail of bullets drove Batman and Nightwing into the Hospital they'd been fighting on top of.
"Prepare the Zeta tube." Kaldur said and Wally was off in the blink of an eye the speedster was gone to do just that. They each went through the Zeta tube and landed not far away from where the army had Batman and Nightwing holed up.
Once they rounded the corner they saw Batman had left the cover of the hospital and jumped the three League members, Kryptonite knife in hand. Before they could react the knife was dug into Superman's back and bullets ripped through the air and made the Dark Knight's body do a sickening dance before it hit the ground, motionless.
Only, that jump and twist wasn't Batman's fighting style.
Only, Batman had thicker arms that that.
Only, Nightwing would do anything for Batman.
Conner heard Wally cry out and reached out to grab him and pull him back, knowing the speedster would have come to the same conclusion he had. Conner pulled M'gann into his arms too as she sobbed, holding the crying speedster to his chest too in his other arm. He was sure he was the only one who heard something from Nightwing dressed as Batman.
"Don't let him die." in the faintest voice before a heartbeat Conner had long ago memorized stopped.
Superman survived the literal knife to the back.
The only League members to survive the slaughter of their ranks by the real Batman were the mans' former team.

(I honestly thought it was just gratuitous Japanese... which, as you probably would know as a student of Japanese, is kind of obnoxious, I'm glad you had a purpose for it)
I'm a classics (Latin and Greek) student, and I appreciate other language students.
You know what I mean by gratuitous right? Like when people make non-Japanese people say Kawaii? Or just add in dumb little snippets of a language (usually incorrect) to make themselves seem smarter or something.
It'd be like if I wrote this, and titled it Socius Mali. There's be no reason, and it'd be pretentious.
However, there is a reason. It's a song as anon and you have said. So, I appreciate that you (being a student I can assume) used it correctly, and had a context and purpose for it. Thank you.
On that note... is this song something you would recommend?
Don't take that the wrong way or anything. I'm praising you, after being shown that you knew what you were doing and had a plan for it. That makes that choice have so much more meaning to me. Please accept my apologies for jumping to conclusions in the first place. It was a powerful and moving fill... you should be proud. :)

Yes, I do understand that form of Japanese or Wapanese (Western Japanese) can be very obnoxious, I've dealt with it since taking Japanese.
Yes I would recommend this song, it's got a very good story and it's part of the Aku No series (or the "of Evil" series in English) and it's sung by the Vocaloid Len Kagamine. Do you know anything of the Vocaloids? They really are wonderful and innovative. My favourites are Len, Gakupoid, KAITO and one of the newer ones named Yuma or VY2.
