Cheshire shrugged. "Yeah, me. Now hand over that statue, and you won't lose a hand." Jade was proud of how little her voice shook - her intel had said Catwoman would be busy on Baker Street, and where Catwoman went, Batman was sure to follow.
Which meant leaving as soon as possible, hopefully with the little jewel-eyed 3-million-dollar bauble her contractor wanted. (Cheshire was sure her father had assigned her this just for the irony; and he knew she hated doing 'theme' missions, anyway. Ass.)
Her attention was brought back to the older villainess when she noticed her smirk. A chill ran down her spine - she knew that smirk, hadn't she given it to Red Arrow enough? - and she whirled around, eyes frantically trying to pick apart the shadows. One good thing about a mask, nobody could see that you were absolutely terrified about being caught between a high-class thief and a Leaguer.
The Batarang that came sailing out of nowhere, three feet to her right, would have knocked her unconscious - but it never got there.
Crack!
Catwoman stood, when Cheshire turned around, cat statue in one hand and the other occupied by a dangerous-looking whip. She was also grinning in a way that was becoming really annoying the more Jade saw it.
"Ah-ah-ah! Taking out a playmate so early in the game, Batman? That's not ni-ice!", the older thief called. "Besides, who would Robin play with? Can't have the children getting bored."
Cheshire growled. "I am not a child-", flip forward, oh god, her muscles were going to kill her tomorrow, left leg sweep low, ha, take that, not so great now, ass on the floor,"- and I do not play."
But the older woman was back on her feet, and the cat was gone - tucked somewhere - as Jade regained her balance. From there it was a battle of hand-to-hand as they wound through the exhibits.
Batman and Robin had apparently wanted to see if they would knock each other out and make their jobs easier, Cheshire guessed, since she hadn't heard or seen either of them since the Batarang she'd been saved from.
But the night was wearing on, and Gotham wasn't her town - and the job was a bust, anyway, father could glare at her all he liked tomorrow.
A flurry of hands and feet later, she'd knocked Catwoman into an exhibit and ran for the nearest exit. Hopefully the Dynamic Duo were going to be too busy to follow - and that seemed to be the case, since nobody followed her into the vent, or out onto the roof, and no-one popped up as she fled ran across the rooftops of Gotham.
--------------------
It was when Jade was changing out of her work clothes that the little cat, jewel eyes a-glitter, fell onto her bed.

Catwoman's awesome in character, and it's nice to see the vulnerable, first person view of Cheshire, who was an interesting choice.
Fill is glorious, Catwoman is glorious, etc etc.
