Fill: "Bye Bye Birdie. Hello Kitty." 1/? anonymous December 15 2011, 13:20:58 UTC
I definitely have more than this written, but I don't want to post it until I'm closer to finishing the whole fic (I have a tendency to tweak things around a lot). And I'm actually still working on another fill (which I claimed before this one), so I'm not sure how quickly this will be updated. But consider this introduction an act of good faith, so that no one thinks I walked away.
Again, it's not exactly what the OP was asking for, but... it's still Kitten!Robin. And how does anyone say no to that?
--~--~--

The team stood there, absolutely stunned.

The aftermath of their battle with what's-his-face-or "Creepy-Vampire-Looking-Guy-With-A-Wig" as Wally had dubbed him-had been extensive. There was rubble everywhere, the enemy's near-constant barrage of spells ricocheting throughout the building the main culprit, and not a single one of them had come out of the encounter without at least minor injury. But none of that seemed to matter right now, because something unthinkable had happened.

No amount of persuasion could have made any one of them take their eyes off of the sight before them. Of their fallen comrade. Undoubtedly the greatest casualty of their fight.

"Mew."

"...I think we need to call the Justice League."

--~--~--

And that was how they'd ended up here-Black Canary setting up a litter box in the far corner of the living room, Flash unloading an unnecessarily large bag of cat toys by the couch, and Batman giving them all a strict set of instructions on the dispensing of cat food in the kitchen, scowl unwavering on his face as he did so. A hardened expression that was almost comically contrasted against the tiny kitten he was holding in his arms, whose fur he was idly stroking in soft, gentle motions. 'Almost comically' because, well, you just didn't laugh at Batman. Even if he was glaring at you while petting the world's most adorable kitten to have ever existed.

"Now that the League has destroyed the mage's staff, Zatara expects the spell to wear off sometime between 4 and 6 days. During that time, the League and I will be off-world on a mission, but Black Canary and Green Arrow will be on call if you need anything."

The man paused and took a moment to glare at each and every one of them. "While I would normally trust Robin to take care of himself for that long, as you have all seen, Robin is not himself. And as such, it is up to all of you to take care of him."

The unspoken "And if any harm comes to him I'll kill you all" is glaringly obvious to all of them, and they each gulp or flinch accordingly.

"Of course, Batman," Kaldur-bless him-had taken it upon himself to address their team's mentor. "I assure you that Robin will be well-cared for."

He looked to the rest of his teammates, all of whom nodded enthusiastically in agreement. Despite the impending doom Batman was radiating throughout the room, M'gann couldn't help but smile excitedly at the prospect of taking care of a kitten for nearly a week. It would be such a great-and adorable!-Earth experience!

Batman continued to stare silently at them until a red-gloved hand came and slapped down on his shoulder.

"Aw, come on, Bats! The kids have got this covered! Right guys?" The Flash turned to look at the team. Though unlike Batman, he was wearing a smile when he did so.

"Yes, we will!" M'gann replied, bouncing slightly where she stood. "We promise!"

Batman let out a sigh, then begrudgingly stepped forward and placed the tiny furball into Kaldur's arms before stepping back to join Flash.

"Call Black Canary or Green Arrow if you need anything." He waited until they all nodded at the instruction, then turned and headed toward the Zeta Tube with Flash.

"We'll be back in 10 days."

Ohmygod, author anon, you cannot even imagine how delighted I am at the idea of Batman standing there, scowling and stroking a wee little tiny kitten with his big gloved hands, and he is totally unamused because this is serious. It's everything I wanted today to be. If I can find the pen to my graphics tablet I am drawing the hell out of this.

I... I got an artfill? anonymous December 16 2011, 04:19:22 UTC
What even? There is no keyboard I could smash hard enough to convey to you how high my levels of inner-flail have just become.

And this picture is just amazing. He looks so menacing, even though there's this super cute kitten being petted in his arms. *grin* You did this perfectly.

Everything with Batman is srs bsns. Especially when it comes to the safety of his little bird kitten.

Ahhh!! Thank you thank you thank you! This is awesome!

Oh look at that, it's really easy to accidentally de-anon. *facepalm*

Oooh, they'll have to potty-train kitty!Robin now. Have fun, guys. I know it wasn't fun for me the first couple days, having to clear out litter from every other space my cat could literally dig into (my mom's poor potted plants...).

I can see Flash bringing in a giant bag of cat toys. That is so amazing.

More, please?
