There was only one real problem with the damn thing. It was an almost imperceptible gentle curve, that drew the eye straight to his ass. That was a problem. Especially with the way Black Canary was complimenting their design choices and kept mentioning 'subtle eye-drawing curves', he honestly wasn't sure if she was trolling him or generally trying to point it out to him, either way it was unpleasant to hear coming from the woman who had just spent 45 minutes lecturing him on superhero decorum, though he could hardly fault her word choice.
Luckily he was Batman's protegee and was now calm enough to think of a good plan to destroy the 'look at this ass' feel of the costume. "Looks good, though maybe more colour, somewhere that won't lead to me getting shot in the chest?"
"Obviously we put extra padding there, to draw attention away from your legs." Kaldur stated.
"Yeah, but maybe draw some attention elsewhere, somewhere smaller. Make it not so obvious."
"Oh yeah? Where do you suggest then?" Asked Artemis ready for a fight and setting off his trap rather well.
"Fingerstripes. Thin, eye-drawing and they'll blur confusingly in a fight." And there was nothing sexy about fingerstripes at all, they would draw attention away from his ass and there would be no sexual connotations at all.
The Team turned to the outfit, and Zatanna's eyes lit up as she nodded enthusiastically. Fingerstripes were qickly approved by all present, including Black Canary.
One quick alteration later and the outfit was considered, more or less done, the cape would need a little more time. Everyone insisted they see it on Dick despite his cries of that being illogical since M'gann could perfectly copy anyone on the team. He eventually caved and just got in the thing anyway.
Conner recovers first, probably because he doesn't like being confused and let the anger guide him. "How is he hotter in that outfit than Miss M was?"
Wally recovers first as is wont. "That's just- I don't-. Screw science, he's hotter. No offense Megan it's just, wow."
"The draw to the ass, and the fingerstripes are a great combination, everyone will be jumping on his-""
"Artemis." Scolded Black Canary even as she nodded in agreement.
"Perhaps, our minds were affected, as we knew that was not truly M'gann's form. Either way, it certainly seems to fit Robin better."
"Want to kidnap me again, for some alone time."
"If memory serves, he has a thing for redheads, should call batgirl, he'd have a real shot now."
"You're all fuckasses." Robin-because he was still Batman's sidekick Robin for now-stated before trudging off cursing his ability to turn even something as small as fingerstripes into a goddamn fetish point.
"What did I say about that word young man. I'm telling Catwoman, maybe you'll listen to her." Black Canary called after him all faux-hurt, coming from nowhere to take gold in the 100 meter hate-off. Leaving Artemis a distant second.

It was so freakin' hilarious! With Kaldur being all nonchalant and Roy being awesome even though he doesn't say anything and Black Canary! When I prompted this, Zatanna hadn't shown up yet, but the idea of using magic to allow the suit more storage space was quite innovative. So many things make sense now. I adored the reference to kidnapping, and subsequent suggestion of 'alone time'. Not to mention Dick's (it's basically become one of those unsaid canon details, no point denying it anymore) redhead kink.
And Artemis 'shipping' Robin and Wally. *falls off chair laughing* That was enough to satisfy my need for Robin/KF.
It was so... realistic. Even the Robin cursing out - M'gann? Roy? - and BC washing his mouth out. Let's just hope Alfred doesn't catch wind of the language you're using, young man. Soap will be the least of your worries if he does. It was realistic (realistic crack? How, anon?), practical, and Artemis was incredibly in character. I loved how you left it hanging whether BC was actually trolling him on the 'subtle-draw-of-the-eye' thing or not.
The best part, though, was the 100 meter hate-off. No question. I was rooting for Kaldur, actually, but I think I forgot that when Black Canary won. I've been craving some Catwoman on this meme lately, so including that last itsy-bitsy snippet of her, and Babs... anon, I love you. I really, honestly, truly do.
And thank you. So, so much. You made my whole week.
