She was his sister...that was all. Wally mentally flinched as he stood behind Artemis. Nope he wasn't cowering, nor was he using his girlfriend as a fail of a shield. (He was three inches taller after all.) It was a completely normal thing for a member of the Batfam to inflict pain through a stare whilst they did something else...wasn't it?
Cass was impressive, and, ultimately a very good fighter. Apparently she was better than Batman...according to the man's sidekick.
Robin whined for his older sis to go faster with the untying, momentarily bringing her attention away from Wally. A sweet, minuscule smile flitted across her face with fondness before Robin yelped and brought his freed hand up to his forehead. His free hand that had been bound behind his back just a second ago.
"Cass! You gotta stop doing that! Not when I'm in uniform."
How-
...Oh....
Wally gulped, she was good.
Artemis, ever the quick witted girl, smirked -really, he could see it from behind her head- and nodded with amusement to the older one before she turned around, murmuring to Wally that she would go find the others.
He almost made a grab for her wrist, but resisted the urge and just stood there, twitching nervously. His eyes followed the graceful, yet dangerous movement of Nightwing. The blue symbol on her chest glared at him.
She gave him a hard stare through the domino mask and raised a hand. This time, his whole body flinched, waiting for some sort of pain to shock his whole body, but instead, he felt a light, unsure pressure on his head.
Her face contorted, as if trying to think of the right words to say. Wally did know a bit about her history. "Quiet. You think...too much."
"But I wasn't even talking!" His stupid mouth blurted out.
"Shh. You. Robin...okay."
Now he was confused....
"You and he. Friends, good friends."
Oh...
He gave her a hesitant smile, which she returned, but before he could even say something, the smile dropped.
"But you...say...you, Artemis," she shook her head at this, sighing in frustration, "You hurt her. I hurt you."
Wally blanched...so that was why she had stopped being stoically nice when he mentioned that he was dating the archer on the team. He was still frozen in fear. From his peripheral, he could see -more than hear- Robin snickering in the background. No doubt laughing at his misfortune of facing the silent wrath of his older sister.
His lack of an answer seemed to be good enough for her though because she gave him a grin, ruffled his hair and walked out of the storage.
Wally turned to Robin. "Dude, what just happened?"
"I believe she just threatened to put you in whelming pain if you ever broke Artemis' heart."
"What? How-...How do they even know each other?"
Robin shrugged, tapping his wrist comp lightly, "I was told that they go way back, even before Batman took Nightwing in."
"Your sister scares me...." Wally shuddered.
His best bro, ever the troll he was, answered him with something that explained all but nothing at the same time. "She's the goddamn Nightwing."

The short word effect works just as well I think; it's badass. I'm totally convinced that Wally doesn't know if he should help her formulate the sentence or choke on his own tongue.
Cass being Nightwing is headcanons I completely approve of! Like the way your mind works.
I love how Wally is afraid of Cass!Nightwing from the start just from knowing she's Robin's sister. (What did Robin do to you Wally? lol)
But...making her Rob's OLDER sister here...that's even greater because not only does she get cute moments with the Big Bad Bird, but it also means she's more pain-inducing, jaded, deadly cultured and therefore is a bigger threat, terror, PLEASE Mommy-Er ARTY HELP ME overly protective figure to confront.
The fact that Wally hiding behind Arty(which was adorable) is ironically the kind of couple-y behavior that earned him the stare he's shying away from in the first place...well that just cracked me up.
And the title is perfect.
OP is happy yup yup.
This meme + more Cass = gold.

I originally thought of putting this in Cass' perspective, but my writing cannot do her character justice. I'm not very good at writing the strong, silent, badass characters. So I opted for doing Wally instead (since I love the guy so much XD)
And Cass being Nightwing...that headcanon came from a fill in one of the previous parts that I loved so much.
Again I'm glad OP is happy.
