Dick punched him in the arm, and this was another oddity of their relationship, in Clark’s opinion. Kids simply did not use that particular gesture of familiarity with their parents; it was more suited to a sibling or close friend. Heck, it was more suited to anyone who wasn’t Batman.
“Believe it or not,” Bruce continued, “Between you and Damian, I thought you’d be the jealous one.”
“Because I’ve been an only child for sixteen years?”
“No, like I said-more that you’ve been a spoiled brat for a comparable length of time.”
Dick leaned harder, chin digging into Bruce’s shoulder and forcing him to support more of his weight. “You’re a jerk, you know that? I mean, I know you hear it all the freaking time, but do you actually know that?”
He was smiling, slightly, above Dick’s head and out of sight.
“A spoiled brat who sulks and damages my property whenever I’m not paying full and absolute attention to you.”
“It worked, didn’t it?” Dick shot back. “I break a wall, you pay attention to me. I run off and destroy a lab, you give me a black-ops team. I climb up your grandfather clock, you give me a costume and my revenge. I take the Batmobile for a joyride, you buy me the Corvette.”
He paused.
“You are a terrible parent. Constantly rewarding my bad behavior. And you wonder why I’m a spoiled brat?”
“You were already a brat when I got you,” Bruce said. “Although I will take credit-or blame, as it were-for the spoiling.”
"Is this your convoluted way of saying we have to not make that mistake again?" Dick asked.
"I don't think it's that convoluted. And yes. The trick here is to punish Damian on an order of magnitude that really hits home exactly how unacceptable to me that is--"
"--without getting CPS involved for child endangerment, yeah," Dick finished. "Because I don't think an hour in the timeout chair is gonna do it, boss."

As always, love the new bits, but two things in particular struck me as brilliant. First, I love the gesture of Robin punching Bruce and Clark's reaction. :D And also, I love Dick pointing out that Bruce always rewards his bad behavior. :D
