5. Kidnap

It's Robin's least favourite thing. There's just something about him that villains seem to like - he knows exactly what it is, of course, he's smaller and easier to overpower and important to Batman. Kidnapping is not an uncommon occurance in the slightest. Even without his utility belt - and they've learnt to take that off him by now - he knows any number of tricks for getting out of pretty much any situation, and Batman's usually not far away.

Even Dick has had his fair share of kidnap experience, after all you didn't wander round a city like Gotham being the ward of Bruce Wayne without a few attempts on your life and/or freedom. Even without most of his gear on him, he carried enough tech that alarms were raised and help was relatively quickly on its way almost as soon as he was taken. Better still when he was kidnapped by some of the less esoteric of Gotham's villains, and he could afford just a tiniest bit of Robin's help to get free.

Sometimes, the two combined, and that was Robin's very least favourite thing. A minor villain and enemy of Batman chose to kidnap Dick around about the same time that the Joker was pulling shenanigans on the other side of town.
Batman couldn't be seen to favour Bruce Wayne's ward over whoever the Joker was tormenting, and Robin couldn't risk giving himself away, so Dick had to sit helplessly tied to a chair (an ordinary chair, with ordinary rope) and wait to be rescued like some damsel in distress.

When rescue came, it wasn't what he'd hoped for, it wasn't Batman, who would know why he couldn't get out, who would commend him for keeping his identity secret (since his life wasn't in immediate danger, and possibly could be if this guy figured it out), who wouldn't treat him like a victim.
It was his team, his own damn team, and there was no witty banter, no teasing about how-did-you-get-yourself-into-this-mess-Rob, there were concerned faces and they treated him like a little kid who must have been so scared.
So Dick nodded and pretended and waited for them to drop him off at Wayne Manor so he could go find the punching bag and pretend it was the idiot who had kidnapped him.

6. Retaliation

Robin was in trouble. Big trouble. Not with any of the mentors, but that didn't mean anything, hell hath no fury and all that...
Not that Artemis had exactly been scorned, just pranked, and really Robin didn't know what the big deal was, it wasn't like it was the first time he'd done it. ...Well, maybe that was the big deal, but still...
He thought she looked great with pink hair.

He knew she was looking to basically murder him, so when he saw her stalking down the corridors with a face like thunder, he instinctively flinched away from her, getting ready to run.
Until she spotted him, and her face softened into sheepishness.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." She said apologetically, and that was when it clicked. Of course she wasn't mad at Dick...
"Something upset you?" He asked, sympathetically.
"This," she waved a hand at her pink hair "My t...totally annoying friend decided it would be funny to put pink dye in my shampoo."
"Will it wash out?" He put on his best understanding face.
"...Yea, should do, quite soon." She conceded, the annoyance in her tone fading.
"I'm sure he didn't mean to make you angry, and you look good with pink hair." He smiled widely at her. She'd been sort of fond of him ever since saving him from bullies and kidnapping, and Dick was very good at playing the adorable puppy.
"I...I suppose he didn't... thanks..." Artemis admitted after a moment's thought, and maybe Dick hadn't quite saved Robin's skin but he had certainly softened the blow.
Maybe this dual identity thing wasn't always bad.

Loved them all but I liked the last the best because while it was adorable I'm just imagining what'll happen when Artemis finds out that Dick = Robin and what her retaliation will be, lol.

This was totally and epically adorable! Loved the ending but I think the kidnapping one was my favorite because I could just see Dick trying not to roll his eyes at his overly concerned teammates, lol.
