1. | Wally: 15 - Dick: 13
It’s one of their usual gaming nights, sitting comfortably together on the couch in front of the Cave’s big screen TV. The girls were out for a night of their own - shopping and pedicures were a couple of things they were giggling about as they left the base. Dick was too shocked by the sight of Artemis giggling to really pay attention to the rest. Kaldur was out with Roy on some secret mission thing or another that they randomly disappeared on, and Conner was...
Well, they weren’t quite sure where Conner was.
The point was - Dick and Wally were left alone with their gaming consoles and the TV.
Which was fine by them.
“Dude, you’re totally sucking today.”
“I blame History,” Wally grumbled as he glared at the TV, ignoring Dick’s disbelieving scoff. “It’s hard to concentrate on trying to assassinate your character when my mind is muddled from reading too much about World War Two. I’m just glad we’re not discussing the Renaissance anymore or this game would be driving me crazy.”
“Whatever, man,” Dick said, dropping his controller as his character stabbed Wally’s through the back, the crowd around them scattering. He stretched languidly, enjoying the lack of sore muscles that came with a day off. “I have a calculus test tomorrow, you don’t see my performance suffering because of it.
Wally gave him a Look. “You’re in Mathletes. Of course you’re not worried about your math test.”
Gifting Wally with an innocent smile, Dick stood gracefully. “Of course. Want something to eat, Mr. Historian?”
“You’re such a jerk. But yes, I’d like - Woah!” Wally was cut off by Rolly quickly rolling in front of them, beeping wildly as it sped across the room. Dick, also caught off guard by the rampaging mechanical ball, tried to move out of the way but was still clipped from behind, causing him to fall onto the lap of his best friend.
“Ouch,” Dick hissed, arching back to rub at his tailbone.
“You all right, man?” Wally asked, green eyes clouding in concern.
“Yeah, just - stupid Rolly, I’m probably going to be bruised. Any idea what that was about?”
“Dude, I know as much as you -”
“What the hell are you two doing?”
The two friends looked to the doorway to find Conner there, a dirty rag in one hand, a can of polish in the other (well, that explained why Rolly was running - bath time), and a look of irritated confusion on his face as he stared at them. Wally was sitting on the couch, one hand on Dick’s hip as the smaller boy straddled him, his other hand had joined Dick’s at the base of his spine, rubbing soothing circles into the skin as Dick arched into the touch. Dick’s other hand was grasping Wally’s shoulder for support as he writhed in an attempt to alleviate the pain caused by the upset sphere, making little breathy whimpers and whines when he wasn’t speaking.
Realizing what the situation probably looked like, the two blushed bright red. “This isn’t what it looks - ah!” Dick broke off as he tried to move, but the pain lacing up his spine just made him collapse back onto Wally with a groan. He buried his face in Wally’s neck, mortified.
“Whatever,” Conner said, still giving the two a strange look. “Can you just tell me where Rolly went?”
Dick weakly pointed in the direction the ball had rolled, wishing the ground would swallow him up. Wally was still trying to stutter out an explanation, but was ignored by the taller teen as he followed after his pet.
Silence reigned after Conner left, until -
“We’re never speaking of this again.”
“Agreed.”
