Bruce is sitting between Clark and Barry and hating every minute of being there. He wants to look through Gotham again, look at the site of the explosion again, watch the video, and check his computer. Anything but sitting here in a silence where everyone is thinking the same thing.
But he isn’t checking the computer as often anymore. And he’s started to get back to stopping crimes in Gotham, though he still tolerates Superman’s assistance.
As much as Bruce loathes himself for admitting it, he’s starting to accept the fact that Dick isn’t coming back.
“We want to make him an honorary member of the League,” Clark is saying. “He deserves it, after everything he’s done.”
Someone laughs and Superman and Superboy tense as one. Kaldur and Roy both turn to glare at Wally, but Wally is looking around, confused. M’gann has just straightened up like she’s remembered something she had forgotten, but Artemis is the one who sees him first. She gasps and everyone turns.
“You should let me really earn that first.”
Everyone is silent as they take him in. He’s in civilian clothes, but more casual ones than any of them have seen him in. He isn’t wearing any sunglasses, but at this point, everyone in the room knows his real name anyway. Dick Grayson stands before them, grinning and whole and alive.
Bruce stands and Dick takes a few steps forward. He notices the slight limp in his right leg immediately.
“They wouldn’t let me leave until I could walk on it,” Dick says. “And I was pretty out of it for a few days anyway.”
Bruce doesn’t hear the rest because he’s just now noticing the small scar by Dick’s eye that’ll fade eventually, and the way he’s tilted to one side like his ribs might still be a little sore after the past few weeks. Bruce sees that the writing on Dick’s t-shirt reads, “Haley’s Circus 2011,” and Bruce wonders how they even found him and he wonders how Dick knew the League was here and he wonders how he could have ever have thought for one second that Dick wouldn’t come back.
The others are leaping to their feet now, and people are laughing and saying his name, but Dick ignores them for the moment and he goes right into Bruce’s arms and Bruce can’t bear how much he’s missed him. But it didn’t matter anymore.
He came back.
A/N: So, oh my god it's longer than I thought it would be but this idea was just so guh and yeah. I wasn't sure if you wanted it to match the style of the fill of the original prompt, so I made it kind of close. You know, sort of. Hope you liked it. :)

OP here and all I can say is thank you thank you thank you! I didn't think this would even get filled and to read such a wonderful story instead was a wonderful surprise.
I love the way each of them come to him separately. Artemis going to Bruce was a great touch, she's a definite smart cookie and would put Dick's absence together with Robin's for sure. Poor Wally, when he admitted he just didn't know where to look anymore. When you consider he can clear a city of six bombs in a few minutes the sheer amount of places he must have looked for Robin is scary!
I love that it was Robin's other family who found him and cared for him.
Thank you Anon for writing such a gorgeous fill for my prompt *hugs*
